For anyone interested: "Rio Ferdinand's World Cup Wind-Ups" is on Saturday, ITV1 at 10pm.

Bit more info on it...

"The England star plays tricks on some of his club and international team-mates, with Wayne Rooney attempting to save the life of a family's pet dog, and Gary Neville being offered the chance to have some made-up traffic offences dropped if he will pose for a photograph.* Plus, Arsenal defender Ashley Cole is led to believe he has accidentally sabotaged the recording of a single for charity, and Liverpool forward Peter Crouch is taken in by yet another hilarious stitch-up."

Sounds quite funny ill be watching will you be discussion. ? :)

There's the Beckham one where he was getting a lift somewhere and feared he was getting kidnapped so he legged it from the car. Not a bad idea but he did it in the middle of Mosside (the worst area of Manchester), probably a better idea to get kidnapped.

Am i the only person who thinks Ferdinand is a total retard, and that was before he came up with his 'hilarious' wind-up show.

I mean does he really think that a joke kidnap is a clever thing to do to a guy who's had numerous kidnap plots against him and his kids from the russian mafia of all people! fair enough do it to your mate on his stag night but to the captain of the england team and worldwide icon!?!?! thats just stupidity as its going to be taken deadly seriously since unlike most people, kidnap and ransom is a real danger for him.

Oh Rio you're such a funny guy, i don't know why but i picture him on this show driving around in his aston talking like tim westwood, about his 'england pimps rockin in da germany westside' :p

I think they should play a prank back on him, call him up 30 minutes after he's left the england training ground and tell him the drug testing doctor was waiting for him and has gone back to report his absence to fifa ;) now THAT would make me laugh.

I refuse to watch anything instigated by that dopey sod.

Infact I turn away whenenver the ball comes within 5 feet of him in England games.

EDIT: I missed it monday did anyone see it, repeated tomorrow

Yeah,it was alright, nothing new and the only really funny bits you will have already seen if you've seen any of the adverts.

As for Rio - complete plank tbh. Some practical jokes are funny, you know spur of the moment type stuff .... but to put your name to a program, most likely for personal profit (lets be honest, these aren't pranks done by Rio,they have been planned by some tv bod somewhere) isn't too bright. So no surprise its Rio

I believe Rio has set up a TV company. Looks like it's for personal profit ;)
