Rio Ferdinand's World Cup Wind-Ups

After thinking about it a bit, i kind of feel for becks. Having to hide away on a car floor like that. Saying that, i could quite easily put up with rolling around on a floor for his kind of money/wife :D

No money in the world would get me on the floor for his wife, the money is a different story though! Hmmm flawed sentance? :D

"You've been merked", lol wtf.

I think the best way to understand that statement is to think of Ashton Kutcher and Imagine him saying they've been "punk'd!"

Same premise but infinitely worse, I agree with what people here have said he kept appearing too early and wanted them to see him to see their recation. The best "appearing" moment I've seen on punk'd is when he does Pink, he just walks up and sits down, her reaction is "awesome!" :p With Gary Neville he should have turned up in another police car dressed as an officer and attempted to arrest Gary.

I think the Roonie and Crouch one were good because they got an accomplice to help with the gag. The look on Peter's face when he showed them the island shaped like a dinkle he just could keep a straight face. Also when you saw Crouchy stood next to the little fella :D
A better way to have got Gary Neville would have been to go round to his house and start siezing his posessions for speeding fines, like what happened with Justin Timberlake but it was a touch of genius making the copper a scouser. In all honesty the whole premise of each gag was good but Rio's execution was poor.

Oh and the missus believes it didn't work because Ferdinand has no personality at all and looks like a monkeh, a particulary ugly one :p

It was a bit painful in my opinion, the rooney one was good & Beckham came out of his well but the rest of them seemed a bit too forced & Rio just came in directly at the time when they would have become funny.

How much of an insensitive chav is Rooney? FFS
You honestly would not do what he said? Say "I TRIED MY BEST BUT NOTHING COULD BE DONE!!" <hero>

The david beckham "kidnapp" thing was ridiculously blown out of proportion. He was just made to run late which he hates. Was quite funny though. He does seem like a nice guy despite all the stuff written about him. He even apologised for swearing :)

Thought the crouch one was hilarious with the midget slave and the penisland :D

David James is an art-fag.

Pro's : Concept - great - good setups, well researched (i.e. they watched Punk'd!). Good targets - Crouch and 'Ronnie's' (which would have been rubbish without Coleen getting the giggles) being the funniest, though Shaun WP was a sweetie, and Beckham came across very well.

Cons: One massive one - Rio Ferdinand : Charmless, unfunny, obsessed with being being the no1 prankster (w-t-f!??!), repetitive and has possibly the worst sense of timing I've ever seen.

As for David James, why is he a 'tool' and 'arrogant' because he displays that he isn't just a piece of meat, he actually has a brain too! God forbid a footballer should show some intelligence and appreciate art - that's clearly way above his station! He should be knee-deep in topless birds and gambling away his fortune

i missed that cos i went out, what prank did they do on david james and why is he a moron?

They arranged some art exhibition but the paintings on show were done by a group of 5 year olds. The artist was there and there was a little tour going on, there was also some fan of the artist who did the whole "OMG is it really you" thing. David James was passing comment about the paintings, it didn't look like he approved (not surpring). After, he started saying to the artist stuff like "you must be attached to your childhood and you must also be a family man" because there was a painting of a house, which would have been a fair analysis if he had actually painted them. David James then started to show pictures of his own drawings/paintings on his mobile phone, and claiming it to be "real art". He just came across as really arrogant and self-absorbed. The fan of the artist then started challenging his opinions which he didn't handle too well. After, the fan had a picture taken of herself with DJ and the girl knocked down some varse on display and claimed it was DJ that did it, he thought he actually had done it but he didn't accept responsibilty for it, he then tried to make a quick getaway but Rio then came in with the camera crew. He wasn't even slightly apologetic or remorseful.

To be fair, iirc he didn't direct the comments to the painter himself - what he actually said was what the pictures represent, which is the large house would mean that the painter (of the picture) was close to his family/homelife etc, which is basic A-level Psychology as I recall. Imo, he was just trying to be polite because the pictures were clearly rubbish - but he's probably a bit more decent than to say something like that to the guys face.

I'm not a fan of DJ myself, but I know who I'd prefer - someone who had opinions other than what the next best prank to play on someone was. Ferdinand just made himself look like an idiot - probably not hard for him tho :D

Yes, you're right he could have been totally honest and said what he really thought about them. It was just the way he came across which wasn't very pleasant. I think Wright-Philips came across very well, he seemed very humble and placid considering the situation he was in.

SWP was a sweetie :D And Crouchie made me laugh too, trying to mask his sniggers when he saw that winkie shaped island. :D
