Even if the Police did have to pull people in from other Cities, the idea tonight is obviously to try and create a big enough show of force that people won't get away with it, thus deterring those from trying elsewhere.

Also remember they are pulling in lots of riot trained officers, they've already said that all the London Boroughs will have their regular Officers on duty and able to answer 999 calls.

This man knows what he's talking about. They're easy to manoeuvre due to size weight and also placing of the magazine helps a lot!
 
Neighbour has said that apparently Argos and possibly Sainsburys are being attacked in South Ruislip. Nothing on the net or news yet though.

You forgot the part where the 16 year old girl was throwing things at the police before she was struck ;)

How convenient.
 
I'm not even going to begin to try and guess what sort of punishments people could receive from this but do the Police have the power to charge people with far greater offences that they would usually get to force them to give up their friends? In other words, if they've got proof someone was in a shop when it was set alight could they charge them with arson even if they didn't start the fire and scare them in to grassing?
 
be interesting to see how tonight goes around the country. if the police don't get on top of this tonight, i fear for us as a nation and i, for one, will be doing everything i can to emigrate.
 
It was just on the news at 6. The police shot the policeman's radio. Possibly minutes after the fatal shooting of the guy, although they're instantly claiming 'must have been a ricochet' (!!). Happened just before the policeman went to hospital 'with a bullet wound' then was released with no injuries whatsoever.

Those police deserve a medal I tells' ya ..
