Remember him well, met him in RL when we were both heavily involved in SETI as he gave me some unwanted hardware.

That really sucks :(

Remember him well from the SETI days. He was always right in the thick of all the banter as well as having his seemingly neverending arms race with his brother.

Oh god terrible news, Jase was such a nice guy, I used to play cs with him for many hours :(

The name is familar; maybe more the GSV part than Jase himself, but even though I didn't know him it's so very tragic. As others have said, my condolences to the family.

Only recently did a friend die in a car accident - only 18 :( This is another reminder to take what you can get in life.

I was a friend of Jase when I was a member of GSV along time ago. He was indeed a great guy.

Very very sad, played many hours with Jase over time in CS servers. Shocked and saddened by this.

Like others I used to play cs on his server, maybe 5 years ago, never really spoke to him, but knew the name. Very sad news.
