I bloody give up with this year

Izzy our 5 yr old Bengal started being sick about 3 weeks ago, took her to vets who couldn't find anthing

Took her back Monday as she has stopped eating and was losing weight

Blood tests didn't show anything but x ray did but was inconclusive, we opted for an exploratory operation yesterday afternoon and the vet found several cancerous tumours, he said she had a couple of weeks at best and this wouldn't even take her beyond the recovery time from the operation so it was decided it was best to put her to sleep while still under the anaesthetic

Cheryl ( my wife ) has opted for a private cremation and Izzy's ashes will be returned in a casket and buried in the garden

Sorry to hear that mate, our cat passed away not long ago, it's a horrible feeling. :(

it certainly is mate, its only been a day but keep looking round for where she is, sorry to hear about your cat too

I think as she was an indoor only cat it is making it worse, she would always be in the same room as me

That's exactly how ours was. In her last few months she used to sit by the front door waiting for people to come home so she could nuzzle up to them :(

I had a cat just like that. He vanished the day I got married in '05.

Sorry to hear the bad news, it always sucks when they go. Even more so when they spend so much time around you :(

My gf's cat died recently, was a bit of a shock tbh, was so great. They got a new one 2day and it's terrified of everything, hope it mellows out so I can pet it like the last one, which fell asleep on my shoulder whilst I was eating dinner etc... Memories, that's what you need to help you, just remember petting Izzy and when it was curled up on your lap watching TV etc..

Sorry to hear mate, my condolences.
At least you can be happy that the cat didn't suffer :(.
Lost two of my 5 cats this year, one got hit by a car and one just fell asleep and never woke up.
It was kinda hard for me as I am studying in Glasgow and my cats are all back in Luxembourg.
