RIP Izzy ( our cat )

Sorry to hear that mate, she looked like a lovely cat, made me want to get some Bengals of my own sometime soon.

All the best though mate, i know its hell, i've lost 4 cats and its just a horrible feeling :(

/hug

R.I.P Izzy

My utmost condolences go to you Rotty.

We all know how tough it is when a loved pet passes on.

Roughly two years ago I lost my cat (must have been around 12 years old or more), and having her around me, and being in my life for that length of time... well it just feels like something is missing now.

When I go home to visit my mum at her house, I sometimes still expect to see my cat Jet waiting for me on the wall by her house... or hiding in her favourite hiding spot ready to jump out at you down the bottom of the garden.

Or little things like expecting them to ask come annoy you and ask for food, jump on your lap for comfort...

Izzy looked like a wonderful cat, such a shame.

Is there any plans to possibly buy a new cat in the future?
Personally I don't like the idea of buying pets like they're disposable razors, and I really don't see how another cat could replace my cat Jet... but I respect and understand that you have to move on with your life and having a pet is a wonderful thing :)

Aww so cute, sorry to hear that.

What about getting a new cat? would you do that right away or would it be too soon?

I had 5 cats for a while, 2 of which died young, about 4 years old. Its just not right and they are nicer then people most of the time! I even worry now I am at uni that I am not spending enough time with them :(

Sorry to hear that Rotty :(, I remember crying my eyes out when losing my first cat when I was 6 years old, god knows what I'll do when this one dies as I've had her ever since.

Im sorry about Izzy, ive got 4 pets myself and I will be gutted when any of them finally leave me.
:(

new kittens usually are , sure it will be fine :)

I've always found kittens to be fearless if anything, our current one was only interested in playing, food and terrorising the other two cats the day we brought her home. The only timid ones I have seen around friends houses have always turned into timid cats, normally they haven't had enough human contact in their first few weeks of life. You can bring them around a bit, but don't expect a lap cat.

Here's our new addition anyway (had her a few weeks and she's grown a lot already!):

I bloody give up with this year

Cheryl ( my wife ) has opted for a private cremation and Izzy's ashes will be returned in a casket and buried in the garden

Really?! Wow!

Never liked cats until i met my partner, she has 2 of the buggers (both 15) ...and a mini lop-eared rabbit. Now that we're moving into our new house together, they're obviously coming with us.
But, when i keep treading in cat crud (and the smell is truly awful), and the rabbit attacks me feet, i remind her that i'm just waiting for my new cat fur slippers and a davy crocket rabbit hat :D.

Saying that i have grown fond of them, they are certainly well treated, but we put them in a cattery in october for 2 weeks whilst in florida. I didn't ecpect them to survive tbh as they're 15 years old, but they came back fitter and healthier than ever.

Sorry for your loss mate, i guess it affects us all differently.
Can't see me going to the expense of paying for a cremation of 'our' cats though. I prefer dogs...they are obedient.

Sorry to hear about Izzy, Rotty. :(

Without trying to turn this into the Basmic Show, my mum's cat has been missing since Sunday. Somebody found a dead cat at the side of the road a few days ago, but we're not sure if it's my mum's cat or not. :(
