Just read about this and im stunned!
I remember way back when WWF had all the colourfull wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant. Another big memory is Hogan squaring up against Savage and a fold up chair would always come out with Savage jumping off the top ropes.
So for being entertaining in my youth I take my hat off to you Mr Savage.

He was a fav back in the late 80s when i was a big fan.
I hugely flawed human being, as most wrestlers seem to be, but a helluva guy on the mic and could sell a match/storyline brilliantly.
Its a shame he couldnt have sorted himself out earlier in his career and he would have been up at the very very top in terms of recognition.

I remember watching wrestling back in the mid-late 90's. Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, Legion of Doom, Jake The Snake etc. Brilliant. I used to love it.
Grew out of it pretty quickly though
BTW, my favourite was always Tatanka for some reason
