Because he was a very well liked childrens presenter, it's a thread about his death. A thread like this is surely intended to give well wishes to the family, whether or not they would ever read it or not. Not for an almost "Good riddance a waste of a life" style attitude that you seem to have adopted?

If you cannot have respect for him because of the way he lead his life, then show some damned respect to a family that lost a daughter not long ago, and a family that then lost a son and no doubt to the friends that lost a loved ones as well.

Azagoth, I'm surprised at you. I'm a cynical bugger at the best of times but it's not that cut and dried. He died because he couldn't handle the loss of his fiance any longer and couldn't get over it, not because he was a "cokehead". I've had cannabis occasionally but does this make me a "pothead"? Come on.

People who take drugs at all or people who are dependant on them? That's a very blinkard statement. If you mean the former then that's ridiculous, and as for the latter, it's not like drug addicts want to be addicted to drugs. A lot of them just find it near impossible to get out of the cycle and need help.

The 'true story' quip right after would imply that I wasn't being serious. It was a mockery of Azagoth's uneducated and misinforned stance.

Sorry, but "some cokehead"?, have you got something up with you? This was a very talented man who was an awesome presenter. He wasn't some mess appearing on SMart dribbling and swearing whilst snorting a few lines... He liked to unwind in the privacy of his own home, albeit using illegal substances, hes no saint. But "some cokehead"? Get your head sorted out.

Anyway, it was a horrible sequence of events that resulted in this, RIP.
 
As many others have said he was a great presenter and I was hoping he would have chance to do some more shows in the future. A great loss to his family, friends and fans.

I must say that I can't believe some of the ignorant and stupid comments being posted in this thread - makes me sick.
 
What was that Saturday morning show he used to host where he had that funky suit and a plastic wig or something on?

It wasn't SMart, it was presenting other cartoons...like a Live And Kicking type show?

Wow that was a blast from the past remembering that!
