Just checked two at random of my pint glasses and they both only say Pint.

I think you'll find that Rees mogg, Farage, and Johnson don't tell lies, they simply re-define what the truth is. How futuristic and 'META' is that? Move along, get over it.

Youll probably recall the lies about the banannas... that was a classic. Jolly old wheez that one was.

Since when have cars, TVs, monitors or wood been sold either as 'fresh produce' or by weight? Is your argument so weak that you needed to pad out 'grocer' and 'butcher' with those other items?

You can certainly ask for fresh produce in pounds and ounces, but you will be charged by the metric weight - which is what the EU directive demanded - and it will be printed as such on the receipt. If the receipt showed imperial instead the shopkeeper would have fallen foul of the law be could have been prosecuted as happened to a Sunderland shopkeeper who was prosecuted for selling bananas by the pound (lb).

I said retailers, not pubs; From that same page;

Packaged in bottles, boxes or similar​

Volume by millilitre (ml)

Containers/measuring devices can have whatever they want written on them, alcohol in bottles/cans have to be sold by ml, which is exactly what that page says.

You didn't buy a pint of glass, you bought a glass marked with the word pint.
