RIP Paul Walker

Very sad indeed. :(

I wonder if he would have survived if the car had not caught fire.

Guess it depends on how bad his trauma blows were, if he managed to have some consciousness and there was some formal way of escaping assuming there wasn't too much damage, he had plenty of room to move about/could move/wasn't trapped.

By looking at newer footage and some stories floating about, the fire started and didn't really kick off I think about 1 - 1.5 minutes after the collision. This isn't that much time, and I guess when you are in shock it could take a while to get your **** together and get out, this is assuming that he could have opened the door or found an escape route. But then looking, the explosion didn't that that much longer to happen after the fire started by the looks of things.

:(

it could have been the pain from the fire which made him come around by then it was too late.
horrible horrible way to die.

EDIT: now they are saying both died upon impact within a nanosecond.

i'll be honest, i've never even heard of him. but seeing as one of those films is on Dave tonight, i'll give it a watch to see what i've been missing.

I dont think we're seeing anything in these photos, the mind sees what it wants to see, and someones just outlined two bodies.

Again what a load of tosh.

It's quite clearly a body and is covered up in later pics by a salvage sheet.

i'm sorry i'm still disagreeing on this one - i'm not saying it is, or it isn't what im saying is it could be anything until a clearer picture is released i'll then believe it.. i doubt the body would even be lied in that position.

You don't even need the outlines to see the bodies.
I'll admit the way his (alleged) body is laid out doesn't look 'natural' considering what went down, but I'm no EMT or crash scene investigator, so...

Then again, it does match up with the position of the sheet.

I can understand what you're saying but this time I do believe it is a body or bodies. They have covered up that section for a reason, it's a burnt mush of people.

If its the pic i ended up seeing (link via another forum to the new cctv videos cnn etc had it loaded the picture along with the videos), one has the pic the next is the outlines etc drawn on.

Some of it dosent match up - the pics in early photos show where the EMS have placed the green cover over a section of the car, in the photos that i saw the area he sheet covers dosn't fully match the area that was covered.

Also they wouldnt just take to covers off the bodies for people to start taking photos.

There is a photo of when the coroner van is there to take the bodies way - their van is parked at an angle along with a fire truck parked next to it to block any view - yet this 'photo has a massive big gap that they were able to take photos through.

To be honest the pics are fairly easy to see on Twitter. It's obviously a body, you can easily make out the torso... Arms, head, and stubs for legs. Pretty grim.
