A very very brave man indeed.

Another of a generation of heroes we are losing fast, at least his story is down and recorded we need to gather as much of everyone elses though, it's too important a war to lose track of the Human side of the history.

That news has moved me a lot!

I know he was elderly, but it is still sad to hear.

A great guy with immense leadership skills who held a bunch of guys together in the most horrific of times.

The attack he coordinated on the guns in Normandy is still demonstrated at West Point as a textbook maneuver, he was truly a great and respected leader as well as a man.
