Utter ******* of a disease, my Mother has the same thing (it ran through her family like a dose of salts and affected most of her brothers and sisters, and her Mother) and the changes it makes in a person are scary. They've lived a life and have no recollection of most of it, no clue they are married or have children, stuck living in the past repeating themselves, usually talking complete gibberish and unable to do anything for themselves. It just strips a person of their dignity and their history and they become someone that's almost a blank slate that just exists and has no idea of what's going on around them.
