I just found out. I am beyond gutted. I have been a major Marvel fan for years. Spiderman has always been my favourite superhero.

He was truly a legend. He will be missed. RIP

I'm not a huge fan of comics/super heroes etc... But sure did enjoy a lot of what he created as a child, thanks.

A guy who's imagination was the source of so many stories, characters, movies and TV shows. We're a race of storytellers, and there's not many people in the modern age that can lay claim to as many stories as Stan.

I know they could cgi his cameos for future films but it won't be the same.....although he's been suffering from ill health recently, I'm genuinely sad he's gone. His enthusiasm will be missed, but he's left behind such an impressive legacy of art that he won't be forgotten.
