RIP Steve Irwin

Been chasing down news sites for the past 30min. Looks like its true this time.
My heart truly goes out the his little kids and wife.

RIP man. You were great!

:(

Ah this is awful :( A genuine bloke with real enthusiasm for what he did. The only nature presenter to really grab my attention other than Attenborough.

Stingrays are indeed generally calm, when diving in Egypt our guide chased one around the sea bed with a stick for several minutes to so people could look and it displayed no agression at all.

RIP Stive :(

They're currently playing Men At Work - Down Under in honour of the bloke on XFM.

It's a real shame this has happened, he really was a true character.

I guess you can say he died doing what he loved though.

Crikey!!!!

What can you say the worlds most invincible man has died. Really Sad news. After meeting him and his family last year at a relatives wedding in beerwah, he invited us "Poms" or to his place for a bbq the next day. Some people say he acted up to the cameras, i can say he is as exactly as you see him on the TV.

Condolences go out to Terri, Bindi, Bob, and the rest of the Irwin family.

It's really sad for his family though. His wife was cool, and he had two young kids... it sucks, the world just isnt fair.

But, with a bit of luck his wife will keep the zoo open and his kids can pick up where he left off.

RIP Steve Irwin.

Can't believe after all the things he's done it was a stingray that caused his death. :( Well at least he died doing what he loved.

such a shame it happened to such a nice guy, he really was a great example of the aussie bloke and someone that you would love to call a mate.

he was a tv natural, it was impossible not to get carried away with his enthusiasum, often imitated but never bettered.

you always joked that one day a croc would get him, never thought it would actually happen though...

will aways remember those shorts, "crikey, he's a bit cranky" and how much he loved his kids.

bye mate
