I remember skiving off work to see Steve Wright on Southsea common back in the 90s when the DJs used to do the Radio 1 Roadshow. And yes, I also own I'll Be Back by Arnee and The Terminators

Really shocking news. There's no funny and entertaining afternoon radio anymore. Steve Wright's show was briliant.

Steve Wright was one of a small number of constants on bbc radio. Whenever I was doing something and turn on the radio more often than not Steve was on there.
There was always that moment as your growing up that you'd move from radio 1 to radio 2. We'd always known of Steve Wright so we knew he must be good.
He'll be missed by a lot of people.
