Ripped Jeans - Stupid or Cool

If you want a really nice pair of Jeans check out Natural Selection, they do various stages of distressing from broken, bruised and buried.

I've bought loads of jeans in the past and never paid that much for them, I was always winging at the misses that I'm not happy.
She said just pay whatever it takes but make sure your 100% happy as I normally decide after a few months I don't like them and it would be cheaper in the long run to get a decent pair.
I went in to a shop asking for my usual style of loose fit jeans and the guy shrugged, he said get some nice fitted jeans, it's not 1990. Check out these I'm wearing he said, they are made from 14.5oz red selvedge denim from Kurabo Mills in Okayama.

Anyway tried them on, loved them and now pride of place in my wardrobe.

All of my jeans are ripped. Every single pair. The favorites have oil on too.

It's all very well saying I should buy new ones, but what's the point? Mean time before cuts / rips / burns is under a week. Doubt this makes me cool though.

You can tell the ones on the right are Diesel. The ones on the left are much better; not over the top but the rips look too big and no doubt they will fall apart quicker than you anticipate.
Id never pay £190 for a pair of Diesels, especially when they look way OTT like those ones.

Anyone who pays £200~ for jeans deserves to be robbed by the shops!

You'd have to be stupid to spend that much out on a pair of jeans.

Or have enough money that £200 on a pair of jeans is the same to them as a £30 pair of jeans is to someone who has a lesser wage.

If you want to know why ripped/faded jeans cost so much check out THIS video (The Wash Ep. 2)

Personally i'm not really a big fan. I like a small about of effect/fading but not rips. As for the first two jeans, the cut of the Diesels looks better but neither are my cup of tea.

I could never see myself wearing a pair of intentionally ripped or faded jeans. I don't even like seeing them on other people as it looks so trendy.

However I think it's quite cool when you own a pair of jeans for so long that they naturally fade or rip at the knees and you're comfortable enough to carry on wearing them (not that I do personally :) )
