Ripped Jeans - Stupid or Cool

stupid - but not as stupid as those jeans that kids are wearing now. The ones where it looks like the jeans are halfway down their!! Just shows that some folk will look stupid, if it looks cool etc...

I really dont understand this, my mates gf is 17 and she has them like this ALL the time!! whats so cool about it?

I have a pair of 25 year old Levi 501s that have rips in both knees. I was going to put them in the bin, but reading this thread I'm wondering if its worth sticking them on the Bay. Do these thigs sell?

Go for it, I bet they would! They'd be 'vintage' too, you could charge a bomb!

What is it with all of these crappy brands that are currently spreading like fire? Superdry, Firetrap, Henleys. Eugh.

Superdry does some nice jackets, not very thermal efficient but I personally think some of them look quite good (they make what looks like a replica WWII Japanese Kamakazi Pilot Jacket that is awesome). I am not into their T-shirts or Jeans though.

Firetrap is not new, it's been round for AGESSSSSSSSSSsssssssssssssssss.

Seen a few Henleys around, all worn by Chavs, that automatically put me off buying them.

I personally much prefer Diesel stuff, I like their design and their logo is often discrete and you can't tell unless you know the brand or look at the collar.

I never buy ripped jeans, don't understand paying for the privilege - Almost all of my jeans are actually ripped, purely through just wearing them a lot. They're all different, and they all cost about £30. When they get ridiculous, I stop wearing them - usually by this stage, they've also had stuff written all over them by people I've met in various places and been patched up a few times.

I like my jeans to be cheap, comfy and personalised, and wearing a £30 pair in to the ground does this far better than paying the best part of £200 :)

I have one pair of ripped jeans. They ripped when I fell off my motorbike, but it's only a little hole. My brother wears ripped jeans all the time but sometimes they look really daft.

Ripped jeans? Let's hope these people get caught outside when the weather turns bitter again. They'll soon learn the error of their ways.

It depends entirely.

Sometimes the rips are too "messy" and far too much going on in the design. I personally like jeans that have some sort of design whether it be a bit of a rip or some form of fading but that's just my own taste.

This is where the words "clothing advice from a computer forum" come into play! :p
