Ripspeed Alloys

Tacky?

Chavvy?

Waste of money?

Or a combination of all three?

I'm gonna need to get 4 new tyres and it has made me think that going down the tyre/alloy package route would be a good idea, ditching the steelies.

Looking at these inparticular:

If it had a respected manufacturer on the centre cap, you'd think they look alright, but it's hard to get past the Ripspeed image knowing that they're at the bottom end of the market.

Though, if they weren't so cheap, I wouldn't be considering them at all.

So, worth a punt?

If you have that orange Clio in your sig...get some Clio alloys from ebay, something like these, or these. OEM > Halfords.

Or indeed, scrappies, also try owners forums, usually loads of people selling alloys on owners forums. I tended to find scrappies charged silly amounts for alloys when I was hunting for a single one for a mate's 306 after he destroyed one.

GL. 95% of 172/182 owners are looking for a set of these.

speedline turinis in clio fitment fetch well above what they should because of their high desirability

the standard 172 alloys are always being taken off for wheels like the turinis so are much better price because supply exceeds demand.

£240 including tyres with 3mm or more tread left.

Those Ripspeed alloys will likely come with gash tyres as well!
