The animations are stupid, the jumping is retarded, the chat scenes have a habbit of flicking to different viewpoints when nobody has moved, the frame rates are lower than what I expected when the game looks like arse ( it's all on ultra ), the attacking is no different than gothic 3 just keep clicking, oh and my gpu temp is the highest it's ever been in any game 80c+!.
Should've called this game Gothic 3 Pirates Edition, Risen 1 gave me the wow factor as soon as I started it up

Lots of complaints about texture flickering and bad pop ins which was never fixed from the beta, what's the point of a beta again?

, glad i tried the extended demo i'd be raging at the rip off price for a poorly tested product and now thisWell after playing 10+ hours I can honestly say I absolutely love the game. I fixed the flicker and it looks great, runs at 60fps, the atmosphere it amazing and dialogues are funny.
If you liked Risen 1/Gothic1/2/3 you should definitely get Risen 2.
Combat is mediocre, but it gets better with more skills unlocked - just like it was in previous piranha games.
I made two new 1080p videos, one where I got my azz kicked by an alligator:

Just wish it was cheaper!
It is pretty cheap on greenmangaming.com. I bought it there for 37 US dollars, which is a good price for the game.

As for shrinking vegetation - I do not think that can be fixed, no. BUT, it is a bit distracting only on first island. I am on the second one and it is much less visible for some reason. Overall it is a very minor thing, to be honest.

To be fair it is not as bad as people are making out, sure it is not perfect by a long shot but some people are being a tad bit extreme with it.
