Rival Towns?

Your record is wrong, are you playing it at 33rpm instead of 45rpm? Hearts are quite clearly the better of the Edinburgh teams. :)

But Edinburgh is certainly better than Glasgow - how it ever got the City of Culture tag is entirely beyond my comprehension. :p

"Hearts have been awful, the type of football they've played has made my eyes bleed." - Richard Gordon, 22nd January 2008

Your second point is indisputable. :D

sunderland isnt the pit of the NE, Boro is the one without rivals for a reason, its because no1 even has to bother ripping them apart, they are the pure scum. Although theres not really boro fans football wise is there :D

Having lived in Edinburgh for longer than I have Glasgow, I'm afraid you're wrong :) It makes me sad going back to Edinburgh now, it feels even more decayed than it did in the 90's. Glasgow's certainly got its issues but it walks all over Edinburgh for most if not all things.

Back to topic now :)

Portsmouth / Southampton.

However, recently the rivalry died down abit as Southampton is no longer in the Top Footie League - most people in pompey still think they're s**m tho. I don't buy into the rivalry but I'll probably get sworn at or kicked in if I go Southampton in a Pompey top...

Southampton/Portsmouth

So hard to choose between the two flavours of turd.:p

Nelson
(former Winchestonian)

Burgess Hill (my town)/ Haywards Heath. Four or so miles apart, both of a similar size.

Most of the people from HH have beef against Burgess Hill and the people here, and really look down their noses at us. They think we're 'common' because the house prices are about 10% lower, but in truth we live in pretty much the same cack town but with cheaper housing.
I used to work in BH and I know now why they refer to your lot as Burgess Hillbillys. I swear the only normal people are the ones who come into the town for their jobs. A walk through the town at lunch time was like a never ending parade of pikies, the clinically obese and the mentally defficient.

Glasgae must've changed a LOT in the 4 years since I've been then.
