RIVALRY - Dual BitFenix Phenom rivalling game projects

There appears to be a pair of sandals that have had extremely hot feet in them, just floating on the edge of the table.

Really like the perspex GPU cover, by the way.

Thank you String.

haha I didn't see those sandals xD
Perhaps they were drying or something lol

Woah! Loving the eye on the graphics card and how the side panels stick out like wings.

Thanks a lot Sam :)

Looks sick - can't wait to see more.

Thank you dbs :)

-----------------------------------------------------

I had a little extra work done on this. I made an IO cover shield. Again from the smoked plexi. One straight piece with cut-outs and one bent piece for over the top and the side.
The smoked plexi is growing on me. It covers but shows at the same time. Depending on how the light is and from what side you are looking.

The rear end has to be open because otherwise the gfx card won't fit with the backplate on it.
When both are fitted you won't see any of this.

A handy little opening for the battery wire.

It is not fixed here yet because I am looking at it from all angles how I want to fit it before it is stuck for good :D

I am really breaking my mind about the following. I was thinking about making a smoked plexi cover for over the heatsink and fan as well. Since you can still see through it but it also gives the lines of the window.\Again wanted to put it on stand-offs. But I ma just not sure if I should. I am torn over this.

What do you think?

I started working on some custom cables and sleeving. The stock cables and wires are too long or too short for what I want them to be and do. And in a small case like this there is no room to hide away unneeded cables. So I make them exactly as long as I need them to be. Yes that counts for ALL cables :)

First off an easy start, the EPS cable. It is stock too short and for 8 pins. So I remade it completely only for 4 pin and exactly as long as they needed to be to route them through the dual layer top alongside the fans in the top.

Next up will be the PCI-E cable that will just run to the front, behind the cover and then in a 90 degree flow into the GPU. Meaning I will get rid of one +2 pin as this GPU takes 6+2 and a 6.

What do you guys think, keep the blue connectors or replace them with black ones? I feel like replacing them. I don't want too much blue like that.

The 24 pin that is standard on this PSU has a LOT of double wires, so instead of taking that all apart and getting uneven wire thickness I created a very small rainbow extension. It should be exactly the right length but I have taped it up now around a small diameter pipe to train the wires so it won't pull the plexi piece into the air :D

I have made the PCI-E cable so that from either side of the case the blue wire is the 2nd wire from the right :)
