Let us know what happens with the RMA anyway will be interesting to know the outcome, their is no way I would wait more than 28 days as legally you shoudnt have too infact a month is a joke as it is.I bought a maximus formula (non se) as a get my by until the SE came back (as I suspected it might be a good while)
So it sounds like flashing that to rampage and getting a refund on the SE sounds like the best course of action.
H'mm cant you pay the difference in price of the Maximus Formula to the Foxconn black ops? if you really want that board, send them a webnote you never know they might say okay.Ok just haad a note back offering a non watercooled maximus extreme or rampage as a replacement for my watercooled Formula SE.
I specifically wanted to w/c the northbridge which is why I bought the SE
Apparently a Foxconn black ops isnt possible as an alternative ...
Not much point in accepting another ASUS board (esp given their track record so far, whats the bets the next one expires prematurely as well )
I think it's quite good I prefer it as I cannot make personal phone calls at work normally (unless lunchtime) so I sneak off a webnote if I have a problem or need info etc, I usually get a reply within 24 hours, sometimes they are really busy.p.s. anyone else find the 'webnote' communications a total pain?
