What a bloody idiot I am. Brand new bike on its first ride and I lean it up against a lamppost when we all stop somewhere and it falls over, scuffing all the side of the top tube against the (concrete) lamppost as it goes.

All the supersadfaces in the world don't even come close :(

Good ride though. Well, once I stopped coughing up bits of lung anyway.

same with my bike after repaint.. except that it wasnt my fault! left my brother outside to keep my bike while i went to a shop for some water and ge dropped it scratching the top tube by the seat post! :/

Stunning day for a ride. Wen't out with BRC for the club run. Was a pretty steady pace as half of them are racing tomorrow:

All hell broke loose at 40-50 miles when we came across a bunch of 'Bad Tri' club riders and everyone began sprinting back at race pace lol. Good fun :)

Flippin eck Oli, is this a frame issue (or hangar) or the Di2 groupset itself or can you not tell from the mess?! :(

Living near Ribble (and went to school with the owners son) i'm interested to find out as Ribble would be on my list of bikes to replace my Boardman next year.

On a personal note i'm a frustrated cyclist at the moment, got up on Monday just gone with what appears to be piles/hemorrhoids!
Never had one before but its not pleasent (blood and pain) but its been slowly getting a little better as the week has gone on but i can see me off the bike for a few weeks yet until it clears up and as i'm off to Ibiza in 2 weeks (10 days family holiday in the quiet north, no raving! lol) i can see myself not cycling until the end of June the earliest.
Sodding typical as i'd been really getting noticeably quicker this last month.

Anyone had piles/hemorrhoids before and been cycling much?

I think the frame may need replacing as there are what look like cracks on part of the dropout where it joins on. The derailleur/hanger is just a complete mess. I can only guess it shifted over too far and somehow caught the wheel, one my spokes is slightly bent too so that'll need replacing.

It'll be interesting to see how Ribble deal with it. First I had the chain dropping constantly and not shifting properly on the front derailleur, now this after having a full service - it certainly wasn't right in the first place but you don't want to send back a bike you've ordered online! :(

I'm just bought a new chain (KMC X10SL) to replace my existing chain (FSA Team Issue CN-910 w/ 1 piece Connector) on my Felt Z85 bike. They both have quick release connectors so removing and replacing the chains should be straightforward. However I've just measured the new chain to the old one and the new chain is two links longer, so now need a tool to remove the extra links.

Will this tool (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/park-tools-chain-brute-chain-tool/) do the job ok or do you have any recommendations for any other tools that can be used that I can buy that's easier?

I've had some poor luck today. Out riding in the Peak District and I've done Winnats (evil hill) but so far my chain has some off, Garmon mount broke, now 40 miles from home a snapped spoke. I'll never get home at this rate.

take some white spirit and clean it off.. looks like dirt on top of the white paint, the lacquer will be scratched but nowhere near as visible as that.

I had my first high speed puncture today and **** my pants. Descending at about 65-70kph and hit something small and sharp which fully deflated my front tyre rapidly. Aside from that it was a good loop out towards gatwick and then up Toys Hill, 100km, 1100m climbing and over 27kph average so pleased with that.

That's what you need. Otherwise a multi tool with a chain tool would also do the job and give you a few extra tools:

That's the Alu underneath you can see on those deep ones. The paint on these things is super thin. I was really surprised. Good shout on the white spirit though. I'll give it a clean up and a makeover later. No harm done really.
