Pick up my new TT bike tomorrow, psyched! Pictures to come
sounds painful.. what happened if you don't mind me asking?
Sounds messy? Good you're making a recovery and back on the bike now though
No price tag, which can mean only one thing; if you have to ask, you can't afford it.N + 2?

Ooh, what did you go for?

I take it this is the £627 build form the Wheelsmith?
Have you considered the Velocity A23 rim? Weight is about the same, but it's a wider bed so you get a wider tyre profile with more grip and a more comfortable ride. All my wheels are now 23mm wide.
Wow! Awesome ride there Jonny. I would've been out the back pretty early on in that i reckon. Can only dream of that kind of speed at this point.
So how does APR work? What's the format? I'd like to start getting involved in some of this kind of thing, and doing some TTs and stuff, but not really sure where to start as a non-member. I guess it's probably coming towards the end of the season now as well.
Specialized Shiv Expert 13' model with some hefty discount as the 14' models come out The 13' is a superior bike though, dura ace instead of mostly ultegra on the newen, the only other difference on the new being a sitero saddle, the frame and wheels are the same.
ouch Dup
glad your on the mend mate
Thinking about buying some sort of protein bar/drink for when I get home after I've been out on the bike all day is it worth me getting anything?
I don't get a lot of protein, so I'm wondering if this would help
Specialized Shiv Expert 13
The supplements thread in SA is probably your best bet, but a supplement is just that, you should focus on sorting your basic diet first. Not hard to add a bit of extra protein with some eggs for breakfast or having dinners based around a decent portion of chicken/pork/turkey/steak.
Endurance exercise generally doesn't create a big demand for extra protein though and most people will get enough in their diets as it is.
I guess it's a "Shiv TT" rather than a "Shiv"?
The TT is the UCI legal version and the other is the triathlon version with the massive downtube that has a water reservoir inside.
Either way, get some pictures up.
cheers
I was also thinking about when I go out an do some hard training, not just a normal ride
Shame I don't have time to do eggs for breakfast before I work, I leave the house at 5:30 and that's not even cycling to work!
If im going to get better, I have to sort my eating/diet out, although im generally healthy, have a high metabolism, so I don't get fat at all
now that im into road cycling so much, I intended to just do it for fun etc but now I see I need to improve so that I can do 100 miles, and manage that steep hill,. I need to sort my dieting out...
