My mate has had several delivered. Says they just come with the wheels off and the bars on sideways. Up to you to sort your saddle, spacers, etc I guess.

Liking the look of those Soul wheels, thanks for the pointer uniQ. Having a little think about a set of S4.0's as everyday wheels :) Grey decal pack, silver nipples and hub....mmmmmmm

I have the S3.0s, bought earlier this year. I wrote a review over on Bike Radar if it helps.

meh IMO a bike should be used no matter that weather :) what bike is it ? I suppose I wouldn't be happy leaving my 1k+ carbon bike locked outside gym when my ~£400 worth of bike gets enough attention

Its a Giant Defy 1 2013 (in white, red and black). Very please with it and love the way it looks too. :)

It's going to get wet/dirty eventually. You may as well get use out of it whilst it does so :)

I've ridden through three winters and I don't think I could go back to not riding for the months that we're stuck with wintery weather.

Thanks

that's about what they said in the email when I asked them

time will tell

My Triban for e.g. was delivered with wheels on and was safety checked before dispatch by a mechanic.. Only thing I had to do was adjust the handlebars :) and then I went over each bolt once more just to be sure :)

No it isn't!

Technically I would be riding, inside on the turbo! :p Can't say my girlfriend was impressed when I told her that I would likely sweat a lot whilst on the turbo though.

Or only on sunny days!

Think of it as an excuse to clean it properly and perform some service :)

Seriously though..don't keep it indoors all winter. Poor bike :(

I have a bit of dislike for fair weather cyclists tbh! IMO a bike is to be used no matter the weather! It'll break and it'll get dirty one day anyways! It's fun and it's not as bad as people like to make out! Rain, wind, snow etc just make your appreciate the nice weather more! :)

Go hard then go home is my new motto. Good 34mi night ride this evening in some crazy wind, felt good :D

so my main bike is off the road for a bit.. pedals off.. wheel in pieces.. never let me down once that thing in 4k+ miles! but this time I simply can't risk it in case it goes poof and thats the reason I built the spare SS.. so that is going to be ridden until I get my new wheelset, tyres and bar tape.. as these need replacing on the main bike.

Wouldn't be too difficult to figure out if someone wanted to but I do like to maintain a certain level of privacy online. Indeed.

e: So first ride out w/ the Diablo. This thing is seriously bright. The Lezyne Macro is a great commuter light but the Diablo completely lit up the darkest country lanes at whatever speed I could muster. The pulse mode is also really nice has a solid beam with a constant pulse. I want the support cell battery which extends the 1100lm output to 4 hours :)
