Incredibly lucky to come out with just bruising, especially considering what the collision did to his front fork. Pretty smooth landing on his feet though  :o

I regret reading the comments section though, typically Daily Mail readers

I just can't believe the comments! My brain cells are jumping off the roof! I can't believe I've got to share the roads with people like that! Jesus.. :o just how stupid and ignorant do you have to be to post rubbish like that.. Wow!

After my crash ( own fault) I can't watch vids like that. I know I keep saying it in here but ride safe.

I've still got another 4 weeks in pot and then a good 2 months physio before I even think about biking :-(

I did another 20 odd miles the other day and got a slight bit of pain in my but/hip after again :@

I reckon it's cycling in jeans doing it, I can lift my knee to my chest with no pain with just my underwear on but with jeans the same movement hurts.

I can only conclude the resistance from my jeans is the cause, like how you can get sciatica or whatever it is from having a wallet in your back pocket whilst sitting
Guess I'll have to get some knee length mtb shorts, no way I'm wearing lycra and displaying a bulge

Just put a sock down there if you're worried about what people think.

Most people think you're a **** for riding a bike anyway so what you're wearing doesn't matter.

Then if you're on a road bike and not in Lycra proper cyclists will think you're a **** so you have no friends!

Embrace it and the comfort!

Got my Arundel Mandible cage today. Very nice, but the proof is in the gripping, so will test tomorrow morning or Saturday!

Also got some Swissstop Blue pads, I've almost worn the Sram by Swissstop pads out, these are coloured Green but not sure if the compound is the same as the normal Swissstop Greens or not. Will throw the blues on when I get my power wheel built I think.

PBK included an Ice Tea sample (I'd rather have Haribo!) and a Sainsburys online shopping voucher, bit of a marketing fail, can't see them shipping out to me here.....

So the Chinese carbon parts race has started.

The seat has a two day headstart on the wheels and handlebars. Who will get in and past customs first?

Lycra is inevitable.
Try as you might, you will not be able to resist.

After 20 years of MTB riding I was dead set in my lycra hating ways. Then I bought a road bike and I finally have to admit that bib shorts, whilst the dorkiest things on earth, are supremely comfortable over long distances.

Also great encouragement to lose that last 5 kilos...

Famous last words :p

trust me on that lol

I need to try and start wearing shorts only.. without another pair/layer on top :o I'm not ashamed of my hairy legs or quad size(they ain't no tiny girly quads yo)

but I just can't get my self out in the street in tight shorts!? dunno why.
