Wusses. Richmond Park was no end of fun today, especially on the way home.

+1

fun times in snow! loved the hill in finsbury park ;D quite scary but still snow is meant to be soft? :D

Wusses nothing. Too much risk of being squashed by some brainless twit (see how restrained I was with my language there) in a car who thinks he 'knows' how to drive in these conditions. You only have to read Motors to see some of them in action :p

The thought of going out there in zero or below in the crappy tights I have at the moment is enough to put me off thanks! Looking forward to getting a new warm pair for Christmas. :D

I wusses out this morning as Mrs A is scared of my cycling in these conditions. Instead of a steady 1.5hr cycle I spent an hour on the platform and then had a 1.5 hour journey in. I don't care if Monday looks like 'The Day After Tomorrow', I'm still cycling.

Same here, the other half even drove me to work today (her day off) because she wouldn't let me cycle :o. I hope it warms up a bit next week, I realise the unlit patches will likely be icy but most of it should be ok.

Cycling no problem, probably about -5 this morning on the way in on my usual 5 mile trip. Thighs were a little cold but nothing major, but my fingertips... AGONY. If I can solve that issue (tape on the fingers of my gloves methinks) then I've no issues whatsoever.

Got some GORE liners with DHB outers but not doing the trick. Rest of me couldn't be warmer and I'm only wearing tights on the lower half.

I miss cycling, but I'm not good enough a cyclist (and too much of a coward) to risk riding on the icy side roads that make up about a third of my commute. Fortunately work is only 3.5 miles away, and they've been letting us go home early so I've been getting back at roughly the same time as when cycling. It looks as though it'll warm up a bit next week, hopefully I'll be back on the bike then.

Doesn't look like my new rims are going to arrive any time soon so it's puncture repair night tonight :p

If there's no more snowfall over the weekend I'll be back on two wheels. I might swap my Brooks saddle off though. I don't think the salty sludge will do it much good.

I feel like a Viscount week next week. Made a few modifications:

Do you play synth Jonny? :p

We all play synth.

It doesn't have ubershort ***** bars, do it doesn't fall into that category. It's a nice bike though, I've been looking at 70s / 80s frames for building up or FG conversion recently inspired by Jonny.

Hmmmmm, *purses lips and peers through one eye* :p

I rode last night in the rain with the Brooks saddle, which I've been told constantly you shouldn't do because it can damage the leather. Actually I think the main problem is the holes running along its length. All that spray that would normally end up on the bottom of the saddle ends up soaking your crutch. I arrived with wet balls :p

The ride to work this morning took an extra ten minutes thanks to the ice. I suffered a minor fall trying to get out of the road I live on, but other than that it was uneventful.

Of course, once the ice clears we then face the exciting return of the "learn where the new potholes are" game :(
