I think you should inbox me your source. :D:D

Probably bike-discount.de
I'v bought a few things from there. They seem to be quite MTB orientated, but they do stock a lot of road bike stuff as well. And pretty quick delivery considering they are coming from germany.

Looking for a few bits, hoping someone has some personal recommendations:

- Saddle bag for my Specialized Allez
- Toolkit for the above
- Portable pump to fit onto bike frame with PSI gauge

I've been browsing around and there seems to be a lot of choice!

Topeak do some "survival" wedge packs with loads of tools in them. They look quite good, but bags already violate rule 29 and those are probably so big and heavy that some serious business cyclist will beat you to death at the lights.

Has anyone seen or had a play with a Mio Cycle computer? The Cyclo 300 series look to be Garmin 800esq, thought it doesn't sound like they are as performance orientated.

I'd not heard of the brand until I read about them on DCRainmaker (great blog IMHO)

I've got a Topeak Morph Turbo and a Topeak Mini 18 that I keep in my backpack. Can't recommend them enough. The pump's suitable for both Presta & Schrader valves but my tubes are Schrader so I can't comment on how well it works for Presta.

Mio are made by Navman, or at least the car versions are. Generally they're horribly unreliable and no where near as nice to use as the Garmins.

I have an Edge 500 and it's fantastic, I can't fault it. With these Mio's being pretty new, I'd wait to see some reviews on reliability etc before getting one.

Yeah, I've been looking at the Topeak items.

Thanks, I'll take a look.

Yeah, I've been looking at the Topeak items.

I bought a Topeak wedge seat pack the other day and even though it comes with a little rain hood thing, it did let water in - it was over about 15 miles of quite heavy rain but I was a little bit annoyed. If you're going to put a rain cover in, make it work!

My phone was ok but it did have water on it. Depends if you're bothered about that though. I like it aside from that.

I have an allez too and have the topeak medium clip saddle bag which inside fits:

1 tube
1 co2 adaptor
2 co2 bottles
2 levers
1 puncture repair kit
1 multitool

I usually put a gel or two in there and my phone and keys as well and it's clip mechanism makes it real easy to take it off.

Oh yeah, I forgot how bad the roads are, especially that stretch between St Pauls and the Strand. I hammered over those a few times during the London Marathon and I was surprised I didn't break anything :p

I cycle through london everyday woolwich to west hampstead which is 16.5 miles one way. For me the worst road in london (and i have ridden down most of central london) is euston road between kings cross and regents park. There are more bumps and craters in the southerly section than the moon and i've seen many a person nearly come off. On the northerly section there is a wheel busting pot hole which i've hit twice and nearly bit my tongue off.

Thought I hit the jackpot in my EU bargain hunting. Found somewhere selling Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL's for £525! Got to cart to find they don't ship to UK :(

EDIT: NVM found them elsewhere for £515 delivered. Seems like an amazing price?

I've just been out done a quick 12 miles. I'm averaging about 15mph these days, which isn't great but is better than when I started out and was doing 12-14. I got 3 PRs on Strava and equalled another. I'm not far off top 10 positions on some of them so I'll have to keep pushing... I'm looking for some decent flattish TT type runs near me, but the longest I've found so far is only about 3 miles. There's one loop round the reservoir near me that someone has called a TT but there's quite a few junctions and whatnot so it's not ideal, and it's a decent distance from me before I even worry about getting round it.

I've been looking at a few and really want one that's going to be waterproof, think I'll have to go for one with sealed zips like
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/fizik-pak-ics-saddle-bag-with-clip-medium/
or
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lezyne-caddy-large-saddle-bag/

or maybe something more like this

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/topeak-wedge-drybag-with-quickclip-medium/

I hate my stuff getting wet, I've a dry cover for my rucksack even tho it's mostly waterproof!

That Fizik bag isn't waterproof. My first lasted two years before it started to rot.

thats each I guess?
looks pretty epic
guy I work with has been looking at these two and cheapest we saw was £1100 for both, cheaper if you wanted campag for some reason tho.

Gave my bike a clean today and put some new (2nd hand but new to me) wheels on. They are fulcrum zero's with a dura ace rear cassette. the red spokes are a bit marmite i guess. I kinda like them. will have to get a bit more red on the bike.
