I'm going to replace the bars on my Boardman with shallower drops too, was thinking of the Ritchey Logic II's as they seem to be highly rated in reviews and look like the right shape for how I want to hold my bars.

Two choices I believe, either the Comp or WCS version.

I've got FSA Omega Compacts on all my bikes. Love the shape and the shallow drop.

ALDI have a cycling even this thursday, may be worth a look at the leg/arm warmers, the stand and maybe even the jacket/shirts?

Some parts finally arrived, though I'm still waiting on the bulk of my parts to arrive from planet-x as an out of stock set of pedals is holding up the entire order, they're due in at the end of sept so didn't bother separating the orders.

Slight hickup, I got the wrong front derailleur.... got a 31.8 and I need a 34.9, poo.

So, bb in, cranks on and rear mech on.

I have to wait for my planet-x order before I can do much else really!

I'm after gloves, overshoes and lights at the moment, so I'll definitely be checking the gear out. If the stuff is halfway decent it'll save me a bit of cash and I'll pick up one of the long sleeved jerseys or one of the merino jerseys.

I was considering the merino jersey, would it he worn as a base layer?

Their Merino stuff is usually pretty good but it's sought after as a result. Each store only gets allocated a limited amount of bike kit and there are the usual selfish idiots queuing at the door to buy the lot and stick it on eBay so if you want any of this cycling kit from there, be sure and get there before the place opens and be prepared to sprint to where it is positioned in the store, bulldozing anyone else out of the way as you go. :D

Those spoke reflectors look 'interesting'. Part of me says 'god - NO!!!' but I can't help be intrigued. Anyone know if they are any good?.

I'm tempted to purchase the Garmin Edge 800, anyone have one?

I borrowed a friends 500 for a while, it was pretty good but the mapping was pretty poor.

Any alternative worth looking at? Halfords are the Euro maps, cadence and HRM for £369.

That sounds like a really good deal. Doesn't seem like any stores stock it so you can't get the 10% British Cycling discount :(.

Edit: Same price on Amazon.
