Saw a bike with some of them and they were brilliant, really stood out and when the car headlights were on it, it looked like a 4 inch beam of light around the wheel. I think they will be the 3M ones.

Yep, the advert says they are made of 3M material:-

My commute is mostly rural backroads which are completely unlit so these should help with visibility to other road users when their lights hit me.

more of a purchasing problem!

i dont need another frame, but hey now i have one

a 27 year old NOS, glittery blue track frame in mint condition, unused

Really want some spoke reflectors! Anything that will reduce chance of death while commuting in the dark around London.

I wonder if you have to get to Aldi for opening time to be in with a chance of actually getting anything?

£200 delivered to my door from france

i cant believe someones had it sitting around since 1985 and not done anything with it!

I live in the Jewellry Quarter and work in Solihull too, you don't work at land rover do you?

I wear the shimano R087 shoes with the R540 pedals and they've worked a treat for me.

Working at Solihull hospital (I presume you're at Land Rover?). Which way do you cycle? There seem to be numerous 3 lane roundabouts in Brum city centre which would probably spell death on a dark winter evening. Thanks for the footwear tip!

Anyone else for footwear and pedal suggestions? Keen to learn more about wet/cold weather cycling gear!

Got my lights fitted now, they're awesome. I've a pair of fibre flex's at the back, and a Deben Tracer Phantom 700 for the front, it lights the road up really well, has 4hrs battery at max power and an adjustable dip function so that I don't blind people. Excellent.

Yep, you need to be at Aldi stores early on to get anything usually as the stuff gets snapped up quickly. Sometimes it's bought by folk who have no interest in cycling who then punt it on the bay and make a meagre few extra quid. Really annoying.

I picked up three packets of spoke reflectors this morning with the intention of putting a full pack on each wheel and having a third pack as spares. Can't go wrong at a fiver each and they had a huge pile on the shelf so stocks should be good.

Picked up the jacket, a l/s jersey, compression trousers, gloves and some socks from the aldi stuff today. I wasn't considering the jacket but after seeing it I was impressed. The gloves are really think and I couldn't decide if I'd wear them enough but they feel very warm and claim to be water proof so even if they're reserved for the coldest of days the value is definitely there.

Plenty of stock in the Edgbaston store.

Yeah I'm at LR. I don't commute on my bike but when I do cycle to Solihull I tend to go straight down the Warwick Road. Any good routes you cycle near by?

I bought the Aldi jacket this morning too. I called in on my way to the pool, and was quite impressed by it so thought for £16 I'd give it a go. As it's got colder I've been putting a jersey over my trisuit, but it's too cold for that now, so hopefully this helps to keep me on the bike through winter.

So I finally had my bike wheel issue resolved, filled a dispute with paypal in a hope that rutland cycling would reply, they failed to reply to even that so paypal reversed the transaction.

Suffice to say I won't be buying from them ever again.
