Just a heads up folks; three guys I know have been knocked off in the last few days. Darkness, low winter sun and rain are all as bad as each other so stay safe out there kids.

I know you all probably do but these blokes were all very experianced cyclists so it can happen to the best of us.

One got doored and ended up with three inch gash to the bone in his right biceps.

ouch! :(

i live in the sticks, not many cars parked here at all, so i should be ok :)

Isn't asking a pro cyclist a bit like asking a mate to join you at work and help with a spreadsheet?

He'll probably want to go and have a burger, chips and a pint rather than his day job.

My £1.99 (after the £5 off voucher code was posted here a few days ago) Cree lightset arrived this morning. Don't have any AAA batteries lying around so haven't tried it yet but it looks very solid and for £1.99 should be stonking value. The proof will be in the light output and run time but I'm pretty pleased for the sake of a couple of quid. :)

My cheap light arrived too. Seems well built and passed the blinded me when I looked straight at it test. The mount seems substantial and strong too, which surprised me. Rear light won't be replacing my Cateye but I'll see if I can use it elsewhere. I'll try it in the dark when I get home from work, but I think I'm happy for £2!

Good to see the £1.99 lights, they look pretty good. I sent mine to my old address d'oh so need to drop by and pick up my mail on the weekend.

A bit different. I'm asking if I can join him at work for a start... followed by burger, chips and a pint :p

just phoned primera and they "may" be able to get me a 2012 focus in an XL !, they are calling me back tommorow, i dont think theres much difference from the 2012 model to the 2013 model, except different wheels and tyres and a better paint job. i dont know if you get better wheels on the 2013 model?

dont know if you heard Jonny///M but Tom Anderson the 48yr old club captain of the Falkirk Club died on sat out during a club run.

Not sure what happened exactly but i gather he fell and died of his injuries.

couple of the guys from our shop going to the funeral on Friday.

Be safe ppl!

I have one of those cheap lights. It's very good for the price, but when you get fed up with the stupid clicky button on the bottom, the good news is you can bypass the internal circuitry by re-soldering the diode direct. Then it just clicks on and off with no fuss between the dipped and flashing modes :)
