With a 54" frame I'm not surprised its a little on the large side! ;)

I think you mean 54cm.

Yes I do mean 54cm, oops! :o

you are right yes, just checked :)

Crizzy, Heres a link to the website i got my bike from, at the botton of the bike pages you will notice the geometry sizes, put these two side by side and you can see how differrent they are at the same frame size, so you can see each brand is different, so on 56 frame for example might work for you, but another wont

Ok thanks again for the advice, I think I had my blinkers on a little bit because I just loved the look and feel of the synapse. You are 100% correct though and I'll definitely go to another few places and try and get a proper fitting sorted.

good luck, keep us informed of your progress, so that we can advise you along your way to the right bike!

its a bloody good feeling when you buy it though, took me a month to get the right one!

Cool, will do cheers. No immediate rush to buy one as I can continue using the bike I have for now.

Came across these guys so I'll pop down and have a look at some point.

never heard of them, but they look pretty good, if you go down there, just tell them what your after and what experience you have, and then say you need to be fitted

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, two 3.7v cells in parallel still have a potential difference of 3.7v.

Correct, but he's referring to Shadowness who posted a pic of his battery pack and says it puts out 7.4 volts.

If would be great if it works, because that would mean you could use something like a RC car battery. My torches get fairly warm with a standard 3.7v 18650 battery in them though, so i would think double the voltage would require a much bigger heatsink (if the drivers in my torches can even handle that voltage)

i think ill make an order today from CRC i shall get that park tools chain cleaning kit before they rise in price, anything else i should add to it please ?

What are the best places in the uk for buying cycling stuff from?

I got Halfords - £50 for a 2l camelbak or £37ish online. Local bike shop cheapest they do is £55. Auction sites they are £35+.

These are the only ones i know- just found chain reaction.

Any others please?

It does work off an RC battery, that's exactly what mine in the pic is.
I got it from here: http://www.overlander.co.uk/batteries-chargers/lipo-batteries/sport-3200-2s-7-4v-25c.html
