OK, will stay clear from them for the time being. Im actualy thinking whether its worth upgrading my Focus road bike. In hind sight, I should have got a bike for £1000 or there abouts. Not £600

I have the same issue with my Hardrock. Now I want to upgrade the wheels, brakes and fork which will set me back about £300... I could have bought a £650-£700 bike instead

Its a good idea asking the question. However I think im going to get the Racing five wheels, and some new tyres. white / black ones, any recommendations about tyres. 'I know nothing about road bikes'

Thanks

I have used Continental Gatorskins on my winter bike for a while, great puncture protection and durability. Currently I'm using Continental GP 4000 on my normal bike, though the best tires I have are some Veloflex tyres, roll extremely well, huge amounts of grip but don't last long and don't have much puncture protection.

God it feels good to overtake spandex cyclists with gears on my SS!
LoL no offence I've got a geared one myself.

Need to get myself heavier cogs for more maximum speed though.

God, now this road bike is costing me bazillions! Wife isn’t going to be happy!

2x Schwalbe Ultremo R.1 Folding Tyre Black/White 700x23mm
1x Pair of Fulcrum Racing 5's

On one hand I’m :) and on the other I’m :(

Just waiting for somthing to go on the mountain bike now!!!

^^ I didn't realise how sensitive the gears were on a road bike after ruining my chain and rear mech. Been great since I upgraded to the 105 rear though. Cassette and chain will need replacing along the line again as it does jump in the odd gear but that's the risk I took by not replacing the cassette that time. Still, I really enjoy riding to work so I'm fine with it.

I overtook a moped on Friday. it came slowly past me and my speedo said I Was doing 25 so I gave myself a nice boost and chuckled as blasted past.

Grrr. Have ordered a new frame and groupset to be delivered tomorrow and today respectively for a nice weekend spent tinkering in the garage.

Unfortunately one vital component won't arrive until Monday, unless I want to up my spend from £20 to £140 and get the upgraded version.

I have more money than sense, but even I baulk at that.

Grrrr at evans.
Got my garmin 705 from them, and they've sent me one that someone else has already returned. Everythings already been opened and theres no USB cable.

What makes it worse is someone has obviously written on a piece of paper whilst leaning on the box saying Missing Cable as there are clear indentations!!!
So they knew they were sending me a return.

Annoyed:mad::mad:

If you give me the extra cash I'll pay them extra to send an 800 as a replacement :D

I've got loads, but it was more about the principle that they knew it wasn't new and yet they still tried to pass it as new.
Also the screen had a couple of marks on, so sent it back. Gonna see if i can push them for some money off or freebies. 2nd time I've had bad experience with them :(

A weekend of building and test riding awaits....

Well, I've been riding an Arione for the last year and I've not had any problems at all, but then the only saddle I've ever had a problem with is a Specialized Toupe.

The one pictured above is a carbon Antares which is supposed to be a bit more comfortable over distance. If you are interested in a second hand Arione I can send pictures....
