If riding in the drops feels wierd as in uncomfortable your bikes set up wrong
[Damien];22899338 said:They're just weird as in unfamiliar. After 20+ years of riding MTBs there's a bit of getting used to required. Nearly all of my cycling at the moment is in rush hour traffic so being more upright gives me more visibility anyway. I reckon after giving the drops a try on a few quiet leisure rides I'll get the feel of it.
going to post this in here instead of my own thread..
i am gutted
just had a call from a local (ish) cycle shop and they have talked to Focus and they are not going to start building the Izalco Pro 3.0 untill the new year, he said the earliest i will get one is March !
not happy !

so been looking at "alternatives" and would like some recomendations
every time I see a bike, its out of stock on my size!
i can get a Cube GTC Race (2012) from Tredz for £1600 which has Ultrega and 105 groupset and it looks really nice !!
other than that, maybe a Cannondale Supersix or Felt F5 or even a specialized Tarmac Elite ? (all 2012 models and in my size!)

If nobody has them it's because saddleback don't have any to sell. I'm sure the big shops will have some stock though.
is saddleback a store ?

Just heard on the radio that the "Wiggo effect" related to about a 15% increase in sales of bikes at Halfords.
I certainly didn't see a 15% increase in my store. All I got was people remembering they own a bike that's been sitting outside/in a shed for 5 years and brought it in for me to fix. Joy.
Having said that, it cant be argued that we (as a company) have had a fantastic summer, I wouldn't necessarily put it all down to Bradley and his efforts, but cycling in general is booming, as we all know.
just a wee shop.
