Went into Pearson Cycles on the way back from Richmond Park today. They have some beautiful bikes in there.

I was eyeing up the "Once More" fixie as an upgrade to my commuter in the spring. I liked the look of it I have to say.

The only photo is on the Pearson website which doesn't do it justice really. Looks better in the flesh. But it's not a fixie that would make the hipsters moist. Simple, elegant looks.

I think that Cinelli is fugly.:D

Awesome, I've seen Martin at a bike show before. He's a professional MTB/Trials rider. They have incredible bike control/skill.

Awesome advert.

It's also quite understated looking with the satin finish. And the conti 4 season tyres with yellow walls make it look a bit trampy which is probably a good thing for a commuter :p .

They also say your best bike is the one you ride the most. :)

Now has a black and red Arione and a Hope District 3 on the back instead of the Exposure Flares. Oh, it's also filthy now.
 
Shunted from behind by a dozy cow on the way to work this morning and pulled out on by some student **** on the way back this evening (who then had the cheek to wave and thank me like I had let him out by choice after slamming on the brakes). Riding in Manchester is worse than London so far!

The pic is of the rear mudguard where it meets seat tube. I have a rubber bung in the kit which screws in to the seat tube and I assume through the cut out in the mudguard, however the cut out isn't long enough to reach the bung. My bike (Giant Defy 0) is a size L so not particularly massive or tiny so I assume it should fit. The mudguard is hooks on to the screw of the brake caliper and as far as I can tell it's mounted correctly.

Any suggestions as it's rattles against the frame something cronic and it's doing my nut in!!

the rapide guards dont fit L or XL without modding, all you need to do is mark were it meets and drill a 6mm hole.
 
Even though it was raining and about to get dark, faced with an evening of programming I do what any normal person would.

I get the kit out and jump on the bike for 30 miles :)

Nice Burls Asprilla, not sure about the red bar tape though :p I met Justin @ Bespoke Bristol, seemed like a top bloke real straight talker very approachable and no sales patter. For the price they're certainly good value. How do you rate yours?

Just logged my first ride on strava for over 3 weeks :eek: A nice wee blast on my mtb in the pitch black :D great fun.
I'v had 3 weeks off after my last race of the season and all i'v done is 8miles a day commuting to work. Now it's time to get on the mtb and do some serious winter training.
 
I got out and did a quick 14 miles this evening. Picked up a few achievements on strava, including managing to average 20.2 mph on a 2.8 mile segment which I'm pleased with. The numbers are definitely going in the right direction!
