how is the fit? tight or loose?
always seem to work out as a medium according to size guides but everything is either too tight or too loose!

Well they are lycra so they are pretty tight. :p If you're in decent shape then it's easiest to size on height with bib shorts, I'm 5'11" and a medium fits well though if I were much taller I'd go for large. Hope that helps.

im confused what innter tubes i need

my extra innter tubes *that i bought the same time with the bike) says (specialized one)700x20/28c THIN

and i cant find one that says the same one

any ideas?

These are the same as yours I think:

The 32mm, 48mm, 60mm number is the valve length which will depend on how deep your rims are.

Off CRC, these will be fine:

Need to find a dose of motivation, haven't been out this weekend on the bike despite the weather being ok & having loads of free time.
Just can't be bothered at the moment. :(

didnt risk going out this morning due to stetching (pulled) mescles from my first core training session on wednesday evening, i didnt relise i was going to be thrown into the deep end and do as much as everone else!

Finally been out on my bike, first time since November (which is very poor I know!)

December was a bad month, my birthday being on the 3rd, the whole run up to Christmas and new year (beers after work every other day almost!) and the flu which saw me knocked for 6 for a good week.

Managed to bash out a quick 8.5 miles but took a really stupid route which saw me encouter at least 4 sets of traffic lights, a round about and countless yellow lines - managed to keep a moving average of 20.9 mph though so not too shabby.

I'm about 7kg heavier than I was at the beginning of October too down to a holiday in the good old USA with their mammoth sized portions of greasy crap food which tastes oh so delicious and Christmas and New Year over indulgence.

My cycling goals for this year is to get my weight down to under 90kg, my best last year was 92.3kg, do a 10 mile TT in under 26 minutes and compete in a full series of road races.

cool, I've always got the issue with shorts etc in that I'm short and fat. gessing medium will work best.

Quick question for people who have used Cyclescheme in the past, would appreciate some help.

Can I top up my voucher with cash to get a nicer bike?

Lots of shops use Cyclescheme vouchers but most shops won't allow topping up, Planet X do though (got my bike from there on it), but they also charge 10% extra on cyclescheme. None of my local bike shops will allow topping up.

Cheers guys... I'll see what the situation is north of the river but if all else fails I can travel south (shock horror) to Sigma. They seem to sell the bike I am looking at :)

Anyone bought a bike from Sigma before? Do they give you good fitting advice?

oh boy here goes agin

YES ! I bought my bike from there, after looking for months ended up at sigma sport and i had an excellent service and excellent fitting, so i bought one, and its perfect fit

When you buy a bike at sigma they will measure you up and stick your details into the computer which spits out your specific geometry so they can get the right frame. They the use all those details when building your bike so it's made to fit from the word go.

Great service but try and go when it's a bit quieter.

Thanks that's useful. So are they quite crowded at weekends etc.?

Computer sounds useful, but they do let you sit on the bike and go for a ride as well I hope!?

May take a day off work once the voucher comes through...
