USB is a standardised current and voltage.
Does't matter which plug you use, I tend to use a Kindle one as that's what is in the junk drawer in the kitchen.
If it works ok then I'll do that, I'm sure I have a few spare suitable chargers.
I thought that all USB was standard, but you can't charge an iPad over USB in the car either from the 12v or using the built in Headunit USB.
