My colleague has just sent me this:

How much of a deal is that in reality? I would imagine swapping over my Boardman Road Comps components wouldn't be trivial?
You need to double check BB specs, I think shimano pressfit is BB86 which means BB30 cranks will not ever fit it, I don't know what your boardman runs but I suspect sram so you could well run into issues, but double check this as there is nothing even an LBS can do in some instances bar buy another set of cranks.

Other than its quite easy to swap it over, tricky bits are recableing everything and cutting the steerer, but not rocket science.

Did a pretty hard 11 miles this evening, got back and was absolutely ruined, blurred vision, dizziness and shaking. Sorted myself out after about 15 minutes but still doesn't seem very healthy! Ah well, got a few couple of pr's. :D

If it's BB86 like mine, BB30, BB92 or (as I suspect since the CR1 SL from the same year is) BB90 then you can get adapter cups and use your SRAM crank.

I use normal GXP cranks in a BB86 CR1.

You can get Campag adapters as well.

An number of buyers in the thread on BR have asked Westbrook to fit the correct ones before shipping.

Node4 rider taking a tight line round the corner.

Looks like Andy Magnier. He's from around here, used to be good mates with his brother. Used to all race together at Newcastle Lyme velodrome :) Or it might not be him...

So I passed 4,000 miles for the year so far today, somewhat behind schedule to hit 10,000 annually but I have had 4 weeks holiday so far, and I'm beginning to show my age I think. My knees are creaking and aching a bit, and my hamstrings feel sore. I also still haven't managed to get out of spring/autumn kit yet because its just too damned cold - although part of that could be because one in three weeks I cycle at 5:30am for the early shift.

Blanco rebranded as belkin Pro Cycling in time for the Tour.

New kit:

I dont like it as much as the Blanco kit, but it's far from the worst looking stuff in the peloton.

It's beautiful - or it would be if it wasn't for the huge BELKIN blazoned across the front. Understated and quite retro.

Finally located the source of an annoying creak last night!
Not the cranks
Not the BB
Not the pedals
Not the chain ring bolts

It actually turns out it was coming from the headset/front fork area. I tried swapping the front wheel with another and bingo! I removed the axle caps and although it didn't look too bad in there, there was bit of corrosion. So after an application of oil + grease I refitted the caps and gave it a whirl.

Such a relief, it had been driving me crazy for months!

Yea it was great that they waited up for Stannard to get back in the mix. It was a really good race. Interesting how the national guys were absolutely destroyed by the pro tour riders. I bumped into a guy from Rapha Condor once. Me and my friend rode about 15 miles with him, we managed to hang on just! but seeing that makes me realise just how quick these boys are, and not only that, but keep the pace for so long

it looks like i reached the wall on my PR's when commuting lol, it seems to be next to impossible to go any faster due to the conditions :o i need to get out at 1AM one morning and do my commute ;)

Nice, I was rooting for Millar.

So was most of the crowd!

Just been reminded of a moment about halfway through the race when the group of 4 with Millar, Swift, Kennaugh and Cav were coming up a long straight towards us. As the group approaches and they can work out who the riders are, a couple of excited Glasweigians beside me:

"Is that team sky?"
"...it is team sky!"
"GO TEAM SKY"

They got very excited about the Sky tops, but i dont think they realised that the 2 non-sky riders were actually the 2 biggest names in the race. :p

Well a pair of RSWs are worth more than £100 usually and it's got to be the best small wheel bike I've ridden. Seriously cool bit of retro cruising material.

Neither the chainrings nor the rear wheels appear to be linked, so you would have to keep your pedalling in good rhythm. On the other hand you could steer it like a tank :D

Looks interesting. Ovbiously not going to be spending loads on it, have to see what the price is towards the end of the auction.

Three of us hired one of those on holiday in Rome. :D a minute - handling and brakes were dire. We nearly nearly ended up in a fountain more than once.
