Sounds about right! Could have kept it at the lower limits but it felt too easy, but then pushed in small segments.

I also found out that my turbo has developed some sort of fault where the plastic on the flywheel is catching another part so guessing that wouldn't help, will be taking it back tonight to swap it out. Will give it another go later in the week with the new FTP and try to keep it nice and smooth. Definitely need a fan!

Damn it......all ready to go this morning. Went to get the bike......rear puncture :(

Already a bit late, so I guess I'm in the car today :(

I don't get this, if it had happened en route then you'd have to fix it so why does it being at the start change it? It takes less than 5 mins to swap tubes, by the time you've got changed again there's not much in it surely? Plus you've got the bonus of having a track pump to hand! I'd opt for at home puncture every time.

Although I guess I have the luxury that my commute is much faster by bike than it is by car which may not be the case.

I was already a bit late anyway, and I couldn't be assed frankly.

Tbh this mornings commute was pretty unforgettable. The October wind is starting to pick up, and well, there's no other way to put this really so: I banged my **** on the headset and drew blood. And not in an entertainingly kinky fashion, simply caught the front wheel on a step as I was walking the bike inside.

50km on the road with 800m climb for a change this morning, average over 31kmh.

Not really noticed much difference with the GP4000s, bit of a ride quality increase but can't say anything else.

Smashed along, think the time spent on the rollers has helped increase my power nicely, I'll keep using them alongside road riding.

The magpies have calmed down too which is good.

Got back and swapped onto the Cervelo. Oh my! It's so comfortable, smooth and quick, just smooths out all the road chatter and turns your pedalling into speed. A little twitcher than my Giant but not as much as initially thought. Need to alter the hood angle and I still think a longer stem will help but I'm really glad I went for a 58 and not a 61.

No photos yet as I post on my iPad :p

I also wore a new jersey, Castelli climbers, same size as my normal Castelli, but this is lighter weight material and super tight, especially on the arms where it has more grippers.

^ Your barred from posting until you come back w/ pics :)

I need to expand my shifter search, going to look at Ultegra, which I guess I'll also need a new RD?

yeah was quite windy here too.. heavy rain on the way home unless it changes.. took my single speed for a run due to the fact that it has better mudguards than my main bike..

all sram rd's are backwards compatible (except the 11 speed to 10 speed stuff)

zero loss is just in the shift lever throw

Cheers :) That increases my options quite a bit then. Managed to find a force lever for less than I can find a rival lever . Holding out for something second hand though.

OUCH!!!

I might have finally solved my metal mudguards problem. Picked up some chrome ones from a mate who was binning the ones on his old Puch. I've offered them up to a couple of bikes here at work and they seem to be big enough to go over 700c, so...

@platypus - sounds painful dude

15c in the morning and now 19c! crazy! going t-shirt tomorrow :p.

Managed to break one of the rear wheel inner lock nut a couple of days ago and the bike was crying for a clean up/maintenance anyways(last clean up was in may lol) so replaced it with lock nuts from my old wheelsets and a general clean up.
