Peregrine I nearly up and running. Just needs the chain in and the steerer cutting and we are off.

I'm putting guards on as well so they will need drilling to fit. Not this weekend then.

Went out with the tempo group yesterday for 55miles of pain with a cafe stop. Struggled to keep pace but did apart from some bigger hills. Felt like a beasting and legs are feeling it today ! Need more powerful legs and engine.

More training and hill work needed. Need to up my miles.

Anyone recommend any particular programmes ?

Wondering if any of you knowledgeable/Triban 3 folks can help with a problem. I'm trying to mount break calipers to the frame but the front fork has a crown in the thread housing, and as a result I can't get the bolt in..do I need a longer bolt than comes as standard with Shimano groupsets?

I might be out of cycling action at the moment (but I should be back soon as I'm recovering quicker than I thought I would be)...but I'm still in the spirit!

Got these for my new house. As soon as I saw them I ordered them. From artist (and cyclist) Rebecca J Kaye. Check her stuff out!

Guys, what would be the going rate for a quick service? Gears adjusted, bearings adjusted and greased etc? Not got time to do it myself. Bike is a 2008 Pinarello FP1 with Tiagra.

Depends on your LBS. Most will list their rates on the sites though.

If you have a Cycle Surgery they're doing 20% off atm.

want me to do it from my house?

we charge £40 for a service so i would do it for £30 for you. I stay in Redding.

Went for a 25mile ride. Earned some bonus man points for it being. Cold, raining, windy & foggy as ****.

I've just got in from a pleasant 30 miler. It's cold but still and just a bit damp so made for good conditions with the right kit on.

phone a local shop and ask best bet

a FULL strip down, and regressed, bike checked over, gears adjusted etc will come around £80 +

Went out to grab some shopping earlier and some *** sideswiped me so close it could only be deliberate. Unfortunately for him he then turned my way and then into Sainsburys where I was also going. As I rolled up he pulled into a disabled space and got out onto a crutch with his equally decrepit wife. At that point I didn't know whether to be angry or feel sorry for them but he sure looked pretty surprised to see me again. Sad excuse of a life form.
