Link to the ride seems to be lots of century rides being done. Congrats

http://www.strava.com/activities/132701037 - not the fastest and I didn't pause whilst we had lunch but it was a fun ride :)

Not good enough, doesn't count, go and do it again but add 0.4m! :p

That's pretty much what the three guys that rode with me said :p

I expected to feel far more knackered than I do, which is a nice surprise. I was careful to consume lots of energy stuff though. That said, if I wasn't dieting I would still need to eat ~4000 kcal to hit a normal kcal intake for this amount of activity. Take away and beer time methinks.

I think the enjoyment side of things in road biking sometimes gets forgotten.

Can't wait for the physio to fully get to the bottom of my knee problem so I can get out and do more regular rides without fear of doing any permanent damage.

I've just weighed myself again for the first time in a few months. I'm still 11 1/2 stone. Clearly this is the weight I'm meant to be... I could probably lose some weight if only I could be bothered to give my diet the first thought.

funnily enough, I weight myself today, 71Kg and im 6ft2

yes please

I can not gain weight OR loose any, I've been 11.2 stone for like 10 years

seems to be the case for me too.. but it doesn't make sense! I can eat LOADS nothing happens.. I can very little for a week(as a test) and weight doesn't seem to drop!

mind you, last time I weighted my self was in december! need to get new set of scales as the old ones were ditched when I moved houses.

I want to be 82kg@5'9 by December but that's ~6kg extra over my current weight bleeurrgh..

If I was a little short or it was very close I used to ride around the block multiple times until I was sure it would be over the magic "100" :D

Annoyingly, Strava reported over 100 miles until I actually clicked save :/ otherwise I would have been the tempted to do exactly what you just said :)

Thats what i did for my last few miles. My century on Saturday was 100.6 mile according to Strava. My Garmin said it was 101 miles, i was lucky because if my house had of been slightly closer i would have dropped below the 100

My century on Strava is about 99.6 miles. It was the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool ride so there's two stretches in the Mersey tunnel so my gps was just like wtf and drew a straight line between Liverpool and Birkenhead and vice versa. Rubbish.

Now you mention it, I can see a dodgy straight line on my Strava map too :s

Woohoo, Garmin 500 arrived from Slobbo this morning - thanks buddy! All being well I'll give it a try tonight, assuming I can get out and it's not bucketing. Now to pick up a speed/cadence sensor on the cheap on ebay...

I think I'll be getting a speed/cadence sensor too! sold the one that came with my garmin but relaying on GPS is a bit crap tbh as my speeds seem to randomly go to 5mph when I'm doing 25+! this is in busy london streets so I guess buildings etc effect the accuracy

Well, when I was sat at the dining table looking it over just earlier, it said I was doing 0.8mph. Go figure. I found someone selling them on ebay for under £30 including shipping, sent from America, so I think I'll go for that.
