I think I'd prefer a Master myself...

I grew up in Newark on Trent (where my parents live).

Never done any riding around those parts though. I didn't get into road cycling until I moved to London.

^Snap.

When im at home I go round Belvoir castle and continue south around rutland water. Not the worst place to cycle. :)

Weather for this bank holiday weekend looks totally rubbish.

Got a short club run (~45km) on Saturday morning but not sure what to wear if its raining. Will probably just go with overshoes and take a waterproof long-armed gilet for rain. Shouldn't be too cold so I don't think clothing will be too much of an issue.

Monday looks a bit better so might be out early Monday morning for a longer ride.

Dunno what I'm doing this weekend yet. My lot are riding on Saturday, but I might be best staying home and keeping the peace with the mrs... Politics, politics.

How can a gilet have long arms?! I thought a gilet was sleeveless...

I'm on a club ride on Sunday. Probably wear shorts, short sleeve jersey, arm warmers and take rain cape in back pocket.

Meant to be doing a 90ish mile run this weekend "fully loaded" with the stuff we'll be carrying for the London>Paris trip. Can't say I'm looking forward to the weather for it :s

I'm cycling London to Paris tomorrow in less than 24hrs hopefully, leaving Traflagar Sq at 5pm. Hoping the forecasted rain in the early hours of tomorrow in northern France doesnt materialise! Not carrying much as we have friends meeeting us in paris so getting them to take over our bags!

Yeah... Our ride isn't quite so extreme as that :p Most of our riding is taking place over 3 days (first day of London > Dover will be the most hideous). Last day we're just cycling a short distance and then spending the day in Paris.

I'm both dreading and looking forward to it :)

Not quite as good as the Planet X offer a while back, but Michelin Pro4 SC tyres for £40 a pair. As good if not better than Conti GP4000s...

These tyres are the best, nothing comes close in terms of grip. They also have a supple feel you don't get with Conti's. Only problem is they wear so quickly, i have to replace the rear tyre every 500 miles. I use them for racing, not good for training on.

I am looking to change tyres as mine just hit 1000mile mark, factory tyres for my Fuji, so when it went pass 700miles, during rain / moisture on ground, it's terrible.

How does that Michelin Pro4 SC perform in all weather? I'm mostly fair weather cyclist and currently on 25s... a little worried about going 23s...
