Yeah. I tried on Castelli small and medium Nanoflex bibs, and I was being crushed. Assos small, perfect. Go figure.

I'll pass then! I'm slim, but probably not slim enough.

great shorts - had mine for about 2 years now and despite a bit of fraying on the badged etc - still is great nick. Washed pretty much every ride as well.

It's a shame they only have small in stock at that price. :(
Was here hoping I'd get away with a small, very much doubt it now.

Looks like a good one. I rate the Lifeline stuff.

I have this tool: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lezyne-v-5-multi-tool/. Very small + light.
This might be worth a look: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lezyne-v-10-multi-tool/. I notice it has a star bit which would be useful to me as Campy seem to think its a clever idea to use these instead of standard Alan bolts.
Yeah I rate the Lifeline stuff too... The Lezyne v5 I have a version of already (PX toolkit). The V10 doesn't seem to include anything different to the Lifeline one but is a few grams lighter, not really a consideration for me! :p

Should I assume Castelli's sizing guide is a lie?

Their small bibshorts say they're 94cm on the hips and 81cm inseam, which puts them at a DHB Medium? I thought Castelli were super small italian sized?

http://www.castellicafe.co.uk/castelli-sizing-chart-castelli-cafe-pop-up

That would assume I fit a S, but I doubt that?

With Castelli you really only find out by trying... Although I'm a Medium in DHB Active/Flashlight ranges and find a Large in Castelli/Sportful fits me fine. I've found thighs and body are tighter in the Castelli than the Sportful, but only slightly.

The legs felt ok in the Castelli's and they are great quality: But my ahem, lower region was what felt crushed. It was actually quite uncomfortable.

The Assos shorts feel incredible. Plus, their pad is insanely huge. Loving it!

I guess not :p You will already be saving 1kg by trading your spanners and screwdrivers in for a multi tool.

Pretty consistent, then!
Good work on consistency! Happy with the route/traffic? Many options to extend for some hills? :D

So...a friend of mine that was knocked off by a hit and run (though tracked down) towards the end of last year went out for his first ride since.

...and got knocked off by some idiot right-turning through a red light. How incredibly cack :/
Utterly rubbish mate, hope it doesn't put him off and that the motorist stopped this time!

I'm looking at getting one of these... The chain tool on there is listed as 3/32", anyone know if this is compatible with 11-speed?
Reading up most derailleur controlled chains are now 3"32 so should be compatible with my 11 speed? Although I'm still mystified that others are listed as 8,9 & 10 speed compatible, Customer Q&A also has Wiggle staff saying they're not compatible with 11 speed?! I always thought that you could use a 10 speed chain/cassette on 11 speed at a push but it wasn't recommended... But that would mean a chain tool would fit?

This Topeak mini 20 pro is looking the likely purchase. £22 but has everything I need and reviews very well (many of the others review badly/cheap/fall apart)...

Fantastic day, short write up as I'm knackered! 92 miles, including Puig Major, smashed it up the climb in just under 49 minutes and 270w (I think)! Although doesn't appear to be a strava segment, mate wheelsucked me good 3/4s of the way, then tried to attack about 1.5 miles from the top, blew up spectacularly! Just kept plugging away! Long old climb, but much better than last year as it was 12c at the top not 0c!! Pretty much bonked at the top though, had nothing left in my legs until the energy bar (thanks janp) I had at the top and the Pepsi I got had started going through me some 20 odd minutes later!

Definitely rest day tomorrow, short ride out somewhere planned before the rain! Going to sleep well tonight.

Great effort! Making me super excited about my trip now.

There is a segment for the full climb. It's maybe hidden or you didn't get matched to it for some reason.

Looking at the 'puig major eastbound' segment though:
SoliD: 35:44
Touch: 35:40

You're sooooo slow :D

Right, I'm going next year!

Looks like a LOAD of fun!

Mixing it up travel wise in my first week of my new job, particularly given the frosts, and just to try things out. Bike was great, car worked pretty well, bus is sucking balls so far this morning... I'll be back on the bike tomorrow.
