eBay and £425. If I hadn't needed to swap out my cranks anyhow I'd have gone for a cheaper option but this worked out quite well for me.

That's awesome, nice find!
I would definitely pick your option over the 4iii especially at that price.
Pics and details when you get it or GTFO please :cool::p

Sure - I'll get pics of me failing to install it on my bike for ages and banging my head against the wall as I try to work out how to make my DA HTII BB work with the Rotor 3D cranks :p

In theory it should just work but I know something will go wrong...

Yeah, was just discussing the Corkscrew with uv - it sounds ridiculous
Looks mad, would love a crack at that! Although I wasn't sure why the guy fell at the start, seeing the profile that's when the elevation first kicks up to 40%? But it then it eases off to below 20%, Kicks a bit later up to 30% and there's one point on the profile at 88%

It's not far from you Tart... ;)

Videos don't make it look very steep... But they never do! There's a reason I didn't upload my video of this one as it just looks like I'm riding very slowly up a gradual incline! ;):p

It's called Cyclocross!
I thought while watching it - 'why's nobody doing it CX carrying their bike'!? :D:cool:

To be honest if you could carry speed onto it and power over the first kick the rest of it is grindable. But I'd want CX tyres on for the grip over those cobbles! It's more mud with wide gapped cobbles, than the cobbles you see in the classics...

Not bad, that's Ultegra 6800 yeah?

My current cranks? Yeah. Annoyingly the 4 bolt design on newer Shimano stuff isn't compatible with a lot of PM options.

Yeah your current, one thing I've wondered is why some don't come with chainrings so they're not a 'complete' crankset? If they do then comparing to the cost of a crankset makes them much more affordable. Although 6800 can be found new for a little over £100 that wasn't always the case. Especially when you consider the chainrings themselves are around the same (and have been that price for a while).

Selling your 6800? ;)

No! I need to save some money so I can justify buying a frame maybe later in the year... :D

Chain needs changing soon... The SRAM X1 11's are now out of stockin a few places and not much of a deal on CRC(£23) now, considering there's such a deal on the Shimano 105 5800 price(£12). Anyone use Shimano chains? How are they comparable to KMC and SRAM?

If I end up selling them somewhere I'll let you know, though obviously won't be doing it through the forums as that would be naughty :) To be honest they're a bit scratched up and the paint on them is slightly worn from my winter shoes rubbing on them. Probably not something anyone would want anyhow.

From memory I managed to get my 6800 cranks for £110/120, fairly cheap at the time. If I'd realised at the time that they would be so problematic for PMs I'd have probably bought a previous-year DA crankset instead.

To be honest I'm only looking to change from my FSA as I'm not 100% convinced they're not slightly warped and I'm not 100% sure they're not warping when I'm putting high power (for me) through them! Marks/scratches/scuffs doesn't bother me providing the teeth are good on the chainrings - one of the things that's stopped me bagging one from one of the many facebook buy/sell groups I'm in (where they tend to go for £50-60). I'd previously kept away as I didn't fully understand BB's and sizing - wrongly assuming my HTII was a different size spindle to the Shimano 5800/6800.

EDIT: Shimano 105 5800 chain now out of stock on Wiggle. Balls, back to X1 I go ;)

It says they have 10+ in stock Roady?
If you are desperate for one, I have one spare in the house, could send you it and you just buy me a replacement when they are 100% confirmed as actually being in stock on Wigggle in next couple weeks? Not a problem if you need it urgent.

3D cranks are just plug and play so should be fine, 3D+ you will need a new BB as it's a 30mm spindle.

:p Look forward to the drama! haha.
You've now got me pricing up Power2Max with 3D+ and Q Rings, mmmmmmm

FSA is rubbish so I don't blame you for wanting to change away :)

Yeah, that's what I've read but I guess I'm just paranoid that something will go horribly wrong :p

Yeah think my (probably cashed from yesterday) version Wiggle site had a burp and said everything that was on my wishlist was out of stock. Reopened and all sorted! Don't worry about it - no urgency was just moaning! Have ~500 miles left on mine (0.65 worn) although if I'm changing cranks I may leave it longer so I do new chain + replacement cranks at the same time.

Anyone seen the Limited edition DHB Blok camo range? Quite like the look of that - total ripoff of the Tinkoff-Saxo team training jersey (which was great & really popular) but done tastefully and with a totally different camo design.

Meso camo:

Micro camo:

I like the bigger design of the Meso, but not sure over the grey sides, would be better in black/fluo... There's arm warmers, socks, bib-shorts and even a cap.

Niterider Sentinel 40 seems a good price (£40) for a 40 lumen rear, it also has 'lane lasers' for anyone looking for them. The light without is £30. Runtimes of 18h+ (flashing) but I've no experience with Niterider lights so unsure of the battery longevity and strap/mounting quality... Don't like using brands of unknown quality, especially lights!

I'm trying to find alternatives to grudas' Moon Nebula, but for the same money (~£45) I'd probably go for the Exposure TraceR.

EDIT: TraceR is £35 on Sigmasport, will be pulling the trigger on one at lunchtime unless someone else has an amazing other option!? :D

Trigger pulled! TraceR, Saddle rail mount & Shimano 11 speed HG701 chain.

First time I've ordered from Sigmasport, they seem quite well priced for accessories and certain other things - like wheelsets. Although their clothing prices are not great (apart from the Rapha kit!).

Holding off ordering another winter thermal jersey, as it's probably too late to get it now for later this week! My Windslam Blade is superb in these cold (below 4 degree) mornings with lower windchill, would grab another if I could! The Blok Roubaix jersey is good but without vents and no wind protection it's more for 3-10 degree's without the windchill. With some vents I would wear a jersey under it but would still need some protection from cold winds. Will probably wear it with my jacket (for wind protection) if these close to zero windy mornings continue and just run the risk of overheating if the wind drops off. :)

Sigma Sport is a great in-person experience too. I very nearly bought a bike from them but was a little more interested in the Cube. Their Hampton Wick store is very well presented and full of expensive kit. Very knowledgeable staff as well!

I got a Windslam Long Sleeve a few months ago and was going to send it back but ended up giving it a try... really quite nice for the price.. Didn't even rip in my crash unlike the Under Armour base layer underneath it! The arms are a little flimsy but it's rare my arms get that cold and occasionally I've just chucked dhb Fluro armwarmers on top.
