The overshoes are somewhat tempting... I'm a 43.5/44 but by the looks of the reviews size up anyway. I seem to be building something of an overshoe collection though! Oh well - I don't have any yellow ones!
Yeah they look better than my BBB HeavyDuty which are light and crap with protection only for light short showers! Just be wary of the zip on them if you do!

High viz overshoes do look superb though - they're really eye catching for motorists too! :)

You have to take Strava power estimations with a giant heaping pile of salt really :)
Good point...

600W into a block headwind for 14mph avg! ;)

EDIT: 24 Co2 carts for £16.50

Signed up for a Sport Relief ride with work - majority of a day off work for £20. 25 miles loop from Box Hill area... 1-3 laps choice. Guess I'll cycle out there and back as well if the weather is alright to push it over 100 miles :)

Really wanted to go for a cycle today, but the weather has been ****, combo of rain and more concerning gale force winds.:(

Found my mummified turbo trainer in the garage, an Eilte Volare Mag Lite from ~2006, except I have no idea if it is safe to use it with wheel axles that are not QR. Was hoping to fit a turbo specific tyre to either my old Alfine hub-geared hybrid or my old singlespeed bike, both of which have issues that make them not roadworthy, but they could be fine as a turbo bike.

Any ideas if bolted rear axle wheels are safe to use on a turbo?

 They're superb!! What did you do wrong? :p

Tried to inflate a MTB tyre with one, probably. I think I used all 3 after having to fit a tube into a tubeless tyre.... which then got a puncture in about 15 mins later. Fortunately my friend had a proper pump with him. I'd left mine in the car.

Twickenham CC guy killed last night after coming off due to a dug out manhole cover last night on a road I often train on. Leaves behind a wife and three children. Sad news. Ride safe people.

:( And what FT said....
Not wanting to be morbid but how'd that result in death?

Oh geez. :( Which road is that?

I reported a large pothole to Richmond Upon Thames Council a month or two ago and they were less than helpful in their responses but a week later it was fixed.

This has just prompted me to report a large pothole that I see on my commute. Its been listed as completed feb 2016 but its clearly had nowt done to it.

cheers for any input

The mekk is better equipped and cheaper. The specialized has brand tax.
