Road Cycling

I'm not sure the 100 Lumen Aldi lights are anywhere near that brightness. I had my Moon Comet on 50% flash (15 lumens) and the Aldi one on 30% steady (30 lumens) and the Moon was much brighter. Not that it matters as it is plenty bright enough.

Enjoying some night riding at the moment. I take the hybrid as I invariably end up thwacking a pot hole or two and I'm not exactly aiming to set a PR on pitch black country lanes. I'm sure as soon as the temperature drops I'll be saying how much I hate riding at night ;)

I have the Moon Nebula and picked up the Aldi copy today and they have identical brightness on each setting.

I just tried a copy Moon Comet I got from China and like you say it is brighter when comparing the modes. I suspect it's not really 50% brightness in the flash mode or it's full output is more than 30 lumens as at full brightness on both the Nebula is noticeably brighter.

Ah OK, that makes sense. Not that it matters either way as however many lumens it is max power is enough to melt the face of the driver behind  30% will do me fine :D

Shiny. Still waiting on mine :)

Just ordered load of junction boxes using price match and one of the new batteries with the wireless tech. Just need shifters and cables now. Probably measure up tomorrow, will purchase my extension ones first then get the brakes next year as it'll be going on the turbo week after next. Been an expensive night as ordered a cassette for my new wheel which I'm picking up tomorrow.

So...what's the price match for the junction boxes? :p

As I want a specific model of caliper I'm looking at bike-discount.de for my calipers and levers from CRC (with BC discount) atm. Was tempted by the battery from b-d.de to fold it in to the same order for delivery purposes.

Annoyingly Wiggle ran out of stock of the exact lever + caliper combo I wanted this morning. I tried to order their last one last night but for some reason my card was playing up :/

Almost went this morning at 7am but EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES
Edited for you ;)

Although I'm not much better currently, the only couple of nights where the weathers been good enough to ride I've had other things planned. Tomorrow is also a complete write off weather wise. Sunday looks promising so I'm going to do a good 50 miles then as prep for a charity ride in 2 weeks time!
Managed to pick up a Garmin 810 from Aldi this morning.
Congrats! Excellent choice and a good bargain!
A "friend" just drew an mspaint picture of my accident...

Alright then. I went for 65 miles before work this morning. Happy?! :p

Busy this weekend and I generally aim for at least 100 miles a week so I might have to top it up a little tonight...

Ah, you did go for that Zipp Disc afterwards then!?

Shiny new boxes... Hope the bits are too! ;)
I charge my USB lights off the TV or the Bluray player. :p
Haha yeah I've been known to use the Blueray player too... Also into the HP printer (I'm lazy and don't needlessly fire up a PC unless I've a couple of things to charge). I actually quite regularly charge my lights (micro-usb) from wall chargers as all mobiles are samsung so have 3-4 wallport chargers scattered throughout bedroom & lounges.

Only Mini-USB devices (810 & VIRB) usually require a USB port on PC/Laptop to be fired up, which usually ties into dumping the group ride on the 810 for the weekend and clearing things off my camera (as I have a standalone charger & batteries for the VIRB anyway).

Dammit, now I *have* to go out!

Yeah dropped my weekly target from 100 down to 80 now - I figured I get 50 from commuting all week so it's only 1 decent ride outside of that (club ride is always saturday morning 35+ miles, so technically I only need to commute 4 days and do the club ride!). So I also don't have to include my Turbo riding to hit my goal! ;)

Any recommendation on bib shorts guys? I'm trying to buy an 'expensive' pair every month to build up my collection. I don't really know what to go for this month, nothing in Wiggle's sale strikes out at me.

My favorites so far were the NFTO bibs I think Roady recommend a fair few months ago, but their shop closed down (I think!). I tried the Castelli Velocissimo last month, but I couldn't find a size that fitted well.

I seem to get on better with wide pads, as I think I have a fairly big arse.

Thanks :)

Hard to judge what the final product will look like from a 3D printed prototype and a render but I like the concept. If I was commuting through the city I'd want at least a front facing camera and one thing to charge is better than 3. Getting the software right will be their biggest challenge and without the power of Garmin or the likes behind you that will be a struggle.

Endura FS260 Pro SL perhaps? They are my Sunday best at present. Come in a choice of pad sizes and leg lengths...
