Road Cycling

Ah, by Swift you mean Zwift right!? Auto-correct luls ;)

This really belongs in the Indoor Riding thread. Technically you need to convert/create it as a .ZWO file (Zwift Workout) which you drop into a Zwift folder and it would then appear in your 'custom workouts' folder.

EDIT: Delved into it and the steps required here. Someone needs to try this out and see if it works ! It should. I'll admit it's not exactly what you asked for, but don't think you can do exactly what you want with Zwift.

The Elite trainer app lets you upload klm files & converts them to a virtual ride as well. Guessing you have to use there app rather than zwift to run them.
Not tried it out myself, also see they had loads of live videos FOC to users to ride. May try one out tonight, just to see what they are like.

Yup, nearly every Trainer manufacturer has their own app with it's own features. Some of them rubbish, others really quite good.

Only one I've used was the Kinetic one many moons ago and it put me off completely. Zwift forever! :D

thanks for the feedback everyone.

I was looking at the Elite Suito anyway, so knowing that the Elite app can do this helps.
Keen to know your thoughts Robz.

Cracking. Pleased you got it on and you’re happy.

Just charging my Assiomas as we speak.
Just couldn’t handle the mind bend having miss-matched cranks.

I wouldn't base your smart training buying choice on the app.

You'll end up using Zwift or Trainerroad long term/eventually anyway, choose by trainer functionality and features.

Haha to be honest the fact it says Ultegra on it is enough, can only see the 6800 on the little sticker... Maybe just some tape over that... ;)

PWM seems accurate, maybe even a little high but that could just be me being a little fresher (no mid-week Zwift session) and not having ridden with power outside for a month! ;)

Bit of a segment/sprint effort on the way home last night and the little slight ramps home have flagged up my BB creaking again from grit/dirt on anything over about 250W. Annoying.

I fitted it at first with anti-seize it started creaking within 30-40 miles. Refitting it with Teflon grease it's now done 140-150 miles before making noise. It's not really seen any heavy rain or dirty conditions yet for much dirt ingress!? Any tips? @Saytan @Jonny ///M anyone else who fits their own BB's? @One More Solo @SoliD ???

Tempted to refit it tonight with a more sticky waterproof grease and far more of it around the shell to see if it solves it. Couldn't find any dirt in it in previously, but always did in my Praxis BB when it did the same. But there was more of an empty space around the shell/collet for dirt to gather in there, there's not the same space in the Wheelsmfg BB. Gah.

EDIT: Really need to buy a 5800/6800/R7000/R8000 cassette and some more Look Keo pedals. Have not done much digging around recently for best online prices if anyone has either to hand from current/recent/previous research. I'd looked at R7/R8 cassettes on the wiggle 'bay page but they where selling for more (inc postage) than places online with free delivery so don't think there's many deals by buying returns/unpackaged.

First point, when I have fitted BBs into Carbon Frames I've generally not put anything in with them based upon reading around and have no creaking (TT bike and CX bike) so quite different conditions received.

Wiggle usually been best priced for cassettes recently, with the way you change chains might as well get an Ultegra R8000. 6800s are much less abundant now.

This is an alloy shell bonded into a carbon frame. So alloy BB into alloy is what I'm after suggestions for...

Thanks, will check out Wiggle. Will do a quick compare vs Sigma I guess. Good pointer about 6800 rarety. According to Strava this cassette has done nearly 5k miles. Bike is about to tick over 10k!

What type of BB? If Shimano pressfit I would install dry, but my recommendation is always a thread together one where BSA isn't possible.

I have a brand new R7000 cassette 28-11 ratio available if your interested.

Shouldn't be making any noise mate.

You got it tight enough?

Is the frame OK?

Had a boardman in last week with an alloy shell that had worn so much on one side the cup just fell in.

He also brought his other exact same bike in for me to have a look at which I had fitted a bb top about a month ago. He had worn the frame that much the bottom of the shell split and splayed open.

Check your headset, dropouts, thru axles, bottle cage bolts and rear hub bearings.

Right what have I done wrong with these wheels now @Jonny ///M Fulcrum with the Thru Axle kit set up like the picture, fits in the frame all well, but go to tighten it up and it just means the wheel barely spins, looks like the cap on the drive side which screws to the axle wants to spin freely, so as soon as I tighten it up it sort of locks it in place.
