Robert Kubica has suffered "serious injuries"

I doubt he could pass the test anytime soon to sit in an f1 car and maybe never if his arm doesnt improve much.

theres a video of him shaking some peoples hands with his bad arm but also in the same video he stands talking to them and hes very animated with his good arm but his bad arm just hangs/stays in his pocket the whole time and it all looks rather odd

In the Sky show he wasnt using his left arm at all, just wondering how he is even managing to drive if he cant/ doesnt even want to use it at all (Im guessing it was his left wrist that was so badly injured)

Really good luck to him either way, sky interviewer REALLY seemed to push him about F1, if I was RK I would have told him to **** *** after the 2nd or third question lol

More talk in the Italian media this week that Kubica will be at Ferrari in 2014 if all goes well, fits in with the new one year deal with Massa that has apparently been done.

I'll be honest I'm just glad to see him back behind a wheel. It would be nice to see him back in F1, Will it happen only time will tell. Glad to see it hasn't totally ruined his career in motor sport though.

Good to see him behind a wheel again. He is lucky to have even gotten that far. I will wait and see if he makes it back to F1, and even if he does it is hard not to wonder how well he will do. Can't be worse than massa anyway.

a new one...
He will take part in another race this weekend. it is going to be Alta-Valtidone
He will start with number 0. this means he will start as first and won’t be classified as a contestant. so he is racing for his own pleasure.

What level are these rallies at though?

Are they the same as say the British National Rally Championship, which is very competitive with top drivers in top ex WRC cars, or is it the level of a private motor club rally with a few mates who own a Corsa and a Puma they have stripped out?

Apparently next season he is doing a full year rallying, not sure what level tho, Pirelli offered him the F1 tyre role

He ought to take the tyre role really and just do a few rallies or open wheel contests on the side.

The tyre role would warm him up for F1 nicely. 120 laps per session in a car he's familiar with.

The tyre role is an odd one. I'd have thought Pirelli would want a consistent driver so that they know that any changes to the car's behaviour are from the tyres, rather than from the driver developing or getting better?

From a rehab perspective though it would be hundreds of laps in an F1 car which would be great.

What Pirelli want doesn't matter - it's almost impossible for them to keep a test driver from year to year. Any F1 team with a free seat will be champing at the bit to get a proven driver with experience of next year's tyres, and there's no driver who would refuse a race seat to test with Pirelli.
