Rock Band screenies and prices

OK, who wants to be in my band? :D

I'm still peed off with the lack of support with GH2 on the 360 from what they promised but this is looking like it could be great fun :)

Looks awesome, but I do think its gone a stage too far. Cant see me getting this at any point, and thats coming from a huge Guitar Hero fan.

This game has sounded awesome since I first heard of it, the screenshots and vids have only confirmed it. This may very well be the first game I buy for my 360. :)

Whats going on with the song? Sounds very sloooow like the BPM's been reduced.

Still, should be awesome with some mates
Yep, the tempo isn't quite right... I guess that would make it very difficult - unless your name is Slash or Izzy. Also some of the solos aren't exact either, but it doesn't look to detract from the game.

This really does look brilliant.

Maybe it was on easy or medium?

is that drum kit the confirmed design, i'm no drummer but id be even more tempted by a double pedal setup....could add some more fun/variety/harder drum tracks to the line up then

How are you going to connect 4 controllers to the 360 when theres only 3 usb ports?

Quite intersting for owners of PS3 and 360's if correct, (and ive seen it elsewhere)

Nailing down a Rock Band peripheral price has been almost as difficult as explaining how Keith Richards is still alive. An employee of Game Crazy sent us a printout of the pricing list which they received on July 3. The only thing that really jumps out is the Xbox 360 guitar price being $20 more than the PS3 (more on this in a second). Much of the information is still in line with the GameStop pricing reported months ago. Officially a Harmonix representative says, "We have not released any pricing details regarding Rock Band as of yet, but stay tuned."

The price discrepancy could go back to the issue from last year regarding Red Octane and their attempt to get a wireless guitar on the Xbox 360. Turns out to license Microsoft's proprietary wireless technology would have increased the cost of the wireless guitar and the company decided not to do it. Could $20 be the magic number being tacked on for the consumer? This would also assume, if the pricing is correct, that neither the drum set nor the microphone would be wireless given the lack of a price difference between the two systems. Although, we do have a statement regarding the price discrepancy as well. We were told by the Harmonix rep, "I am not aware of a price discrepancy." It looks like it's going to be a while before the actual, solid, final price of the peripherals gets nailed down. Right now, it's still all rumor and speculation -- officially.

Mississippi Queen:

http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cach...nd+mississippi+queen&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=uk

Confirmed songs as follows:

Guns n' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear The Reaper
The Hives - Main Offender
Nirvana - In Bloom
Mountain - Mississippi Queen
Weezer - Say It Aint So
David Bowie - Suffragette City
The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again

Hmm, although that list is amazing, it seems like there just going for another song by the bands guitar hero have already done. i mean we've had Iron Man and War Pigs, whats another big Sabbath song? Paranoid. Same for G 'n' R, Blue Oyster Cult, Nirvana and Bowie. Even Weezer are in GH 3.

I suppose its not something to complain about really but i would have been far more impressed if they'd got someone that GH so far hadn't got, like Metallica or Led Zeppelin, or even Dragonforce.
