My old Rock CTX Pro has finally died.
The screen artifacts heavily during use, and then will BSOD after a period of use.
I think that the fans stopped working and this has damaged the 7900GTX that's installed.
My question:
Where can I get a replacement GPU board?
How does the case come apart to get the fan out to replace it?
The Rock CTX Pro is a rebranded Clevo M570U. The memory, processor hd etc all seem to be fine.... I've managed to renew the cpu/gpu thermal compound, but it's not helped. It gets VERY hot quite quick (the heatpipe from the GPU) so that shows it's making good contact, but the fan doesn't come on...

helps a lot to actually keep the GPU cool, Best thing todo is take the GPU out and bake it in the oven, Then refit the GPU to the laptop and use new MX4 Tim, I did mine recently and now it's fine, I'm even at work atm using the laptop and it's been playing CSGO and Skyrim with no problems since the repair, Good luck
